There was no Pakistan before 1947 but there was India BHARAT. So your roots are in India. Urdu is an Indian language. My father was born in Sialkot my mother was born in wazirabad which was India. My father knew only Urdu to read and write and he taught me the correct pronunciation of the words of the language which made me win many prizes in poetry recitation in college days. Thank you for the appreciation. There many many more who are dedicated to Urdu and love the language.

Naushad sahib, jinhone Lataji ko successful banaaya, unke kehne par Lataji ne Apne Urdu tallaffuz itne khubsurat banaaye the, woh hamesha perfectionist thi. Urdu Bharat ki National Language hai huzoor. Ham "Hindustan" nahi kahenge kyonki Yahan Pakistan se zyaada hamaare Bharatiya Muslim bhai behn bhi rehte hai! Except Papon & Ustad Rashid Khan....All other Singers were just an insult to jagjit singh.Papon was the only one who sung from heart! and I am not sure whether Ustad Rashid's song was by his own or a version of Jagjit. somehow,Anup Jalot was justifiable to his turn.

Hello.....ustad rashin khan has sung the thumri in his own style......as he is renowed classical vocalist.....his tribute to jagjit singh wz remarkable.....btw all the singers were at the best level
Why again this type of tributes can not be organized???? Why all are very much busy, why once in 2 months such concert can not be organised at reasonable rate of ticket price?? Why people do not think about mental peace, this gives lot of mental peace

Nobody is best or worst. They all are paying tribute to jagjit singh, In short, neither papon,na sonu na koi can match the level of jagjit singh. You literally have moist eyes when you listen to jagjit sahab. This is just a concert by some fans of Jagjit Sahab.
