I stupidly doubted Paul Nicholls running Kauto in the 2011 Betfair Chase. I'm so very glad that I was proved wrong. RIP Kauto. A legendry, wonderful, heroic racehorse.
RIP Kauto Star! He's still the King! A truly legendary horse and will never forget being in the parade ring when he won at Haydock Park in 2011! Thanks for the memories!
Diane Glover my favourite horse of all time,,I broke my heart when he was put to sleep,,can always remember the day,I didn’t know anything about the accident,my sister rang me,to tell me the bad news,,heartbreaking,,would have love to have been there in 2011,I bet him that day,I couldn’t believe he was 6/1,,,he was pure class,,would have love to see him against arkle, receiving 20 odd lb,,,kauto would have walked all over him,,not saying arkle wasn’t a brilliant horse,,but kauto was to,,just look at what he’s done for racing,,he was much better than denman,,I watch the gold cup,the years he finished 2nd,,,he wasn’t right that year,,never travelling,and hit a lot of fences,kauto was the best by far,I ever seen
Legendary horse.I always rooted for Denman but Kauto was a lovely horse,probably better all-round as the Tank could never run right-handed! They were next door neighbours and probably the best of friends...or like an old married couple. Whatever...I love them both. RIP big fellow.God bless.
I was always more of a fan of his stablemate - Denman. However I was gutted to read about Kautos untimely demise. He was a once in a generation type of horse. He earned his right to be forever regarded as one of the best (if not the best) staying steeple chasers. RIP Kauto.
Aww isn't he just lovely... it's thanks to him I'm into racing. He defeated so many class horses so many times and conceded defeat too... but his comeback in 2011 in the Betfair and King George at the age of 11 showed just how brilliant he is! Such a shame he had that fall before Cheltenham, he was in the form of his life! He owes us nothing though...
It's better than the usual rap or dance crap I've seen videos of great horses set to... I'm a hard rock/metal fan but it's a good song and suits Kauto Star. Long live King Kauto!!
Brilliant video brought tears to my eyes! Privliged to be around to see this fantastic animal produce some of the finest performances that NH racing has ever seen. Him n best mate are the 2 that stand out for me.. pure quality
Kuato Star is just GREAT but the Imperial Commander race was very very close and very debatable whether he won or not. I backed him and threw my ticket away even after seeing the photo finish. It's in the record books as a win but you never let the video run for the viewers to see the finish.
