I have the DVD this excerpt it from. It is a simple video, but well done. Very moving...I highly recommend that anyone interested in Lawrence's passion for speed, or the road in general, read "The Road" from his book, THE MINT...it captures the essentials perfectly...no wonder he died on the road, but I think he went as he wanted...and as he lived - on HIS terms.
1:03 Thomas Edward Lawrence must have ridden his by then fourth Brough Superior SS100 motor-cycle wearing civilian clothes as he definitively left the RAF on 26th February 1935. Between 1922 and 1935 he had bought 7 and was gifted 1 of these Brough motor-cycles, nicknaming these after English Kings, "George I" to "George VIII".
+Jack Faulkner " But the final Lawrence Brough splits its time between the Imperial War Museum and the National Motor Museum. " www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/motorbikes/11593356/Lawrence-of-Arabias-last-ride.html
the bike is a work of art .he must have been loaded to afford 3 of them !!!! not a great lover if the mans politics . Most of the arab issues we have now stem from his meddling.
So are you but the mental one It's questionable was he so leave your crappy comments for the mirror, even if he was, he'll be the better man than you in 50 lifetimes.
