It's in the intensity of his eyes, his jaw, the way he moves his body and inhabits the screen. You can't take your eyes off of him. DeNiro and Pacino are legendary actors, but they are overshadowed by the magic of Brando.
They are surely top notch actors but they pale to Marlon's magnetic appeal. Marlon Brando, greatest actor of all time and also the most captivating person too. There is something about him which makes everyone be in awe of him. He was far ahead of his time, his technical brilliance, his natural instincts for acting are incomparable. No one comes close to this greatest legend.
Marlon Brando is the greatest actor because of his unmatched acting range. From 1950-60 he played a paraplegic in THE MEN, Stanley Kowalski in A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE, a Mexican revolutionary in VIVA ZAPATA, Mark Anthony, a Hell's Angel in THE WILD ONE, Terry Malloy in ON THE WATERFRONT, Napoleon in DESIREE, sang and danced in GUYS AND DOLLS, a Japanese man in TEAHOUSE OF THE AUGUST MOON, a contrite nazi in YOUNG LIONS then directed ONE EYED JACKS.
Greatest actor of all time and also the most captivating of them all. His presence was magnetic and regal, no one come near him. He was the best. A true legend!
Marlon Brando, wow what an actor. Any part he played he was great. He was so handsome in a sexy way. Rest in peace, and thank you for all your great movies.
In case we get too schmaltzy about this perfect actor with physical beauty beyond most actors, we must remember his anger which could be extreme and which fueled his dramatics. Remember "Streetcar Named Desire" on Broadway when it first came out. Jessica Tandy was in the lead. Marlon and his buddy used to play poker in the basement of the theater waiting for the second act to begin, when one day Jessica bawled them out for being out of character while playing cards. Marlon and friend were furious at this "snobby actress": Jessica Tandy. To pay her back, one night he didn't play cards in the basement. He waited until Jessica got into her big speech in the second act and Marlon walked out on stage and "urinated against the stage wall" in full view of the audience. This brought down the house! I would have loved to be there to see this. Ah, Marlon! We love you!
Yes, there's, Jack n DeNiro n Pacino n Keitel n Pesci etc but n none, come close, to Brando! Greatest film Actor of all time! Opened the doors for all the above! Robert Duvall Dennis, Hopper Dustin Hoffman all followed in his footsteps!
Why is so intense and getting unique magnetic appeal ? Because he was almost the only one who dedicated him self to find another way so far from the hollywood and american dream . He was so glad to play Queimada , a amazing movie of Gillo Pontecorvo , not so celabreted in hollywood and media maistream !!! And you should watch it and you will clearly undesterdand deeper and deepeer what was people today are still missing ....
