A Powerful moment in the sheds tonight when Raider #88 Laurie Daley led an emotional tribute to Raider #149 Quentin Pongia. Our current Kiwis respond in respect. This is what our club is all about 💚 #WeAreRaiders
It's great to see Laurie come and talk to the boys. He was integral to that team when they were a formidable powerhouse from the late 80s to the mid 90s. There were a lot of great Kiwi boys who played for Canberra during that great era ; Brent Todd, Ruben Wiki, Sean Hoppe, John Lomax, and the late great Quentin Pongia to name a few. Fantastic footballers. Respect to you all.
Doggies fan here. I have much respect for the message shared from Daley, great way to honour the great QP and the jersey they all represent. Awesome mana to finish with the haka! Well deserved win to the boys.
The Kiwi connection is still strong at Canberra. And great to see Ka Mate’ instead of all these other haka’s. Never forget Rabbits Warren trying to say Pong Gia (PONGIA), those were the days, Winfield Cup, & the Raiders were the team of stars 🙌💪
Great Kiwi touching connection with the Raiders. Grew up watching Quentin Pongia, a man with great mana and wairua. Nice tribute haka from the kiwi contingent. Ngā mihi
I'm not a Green machine supporter but I just seen what makes you guys tick. I grew up watching the great Canberra teams good to see you all have the same belief. Well done team Green Machine. Such passion!
@@Researchthejoos if they did it in a singlet with board shorts on and thongs and a beer in there hand you might feel like you have some culture to sorry you dont
Not a raiders fan but love seeing this kiwi boys in the squad. Quentin was an absolute force for the Raiders, always remember him and Lomax, then Reuben Wiki following on 🤙
Massive Love & Respect to Laurie Daley, thank you for your kind words in the remembrance of the Late Quentin Pongia. He gave so much of himself to the game, the fans of Canberra but also to his family and Aotearoa NZ. A fitting Haka from the the Canberra NZ players to a Warrior in Quentin💚Pongia
KEAO WEEKES AN ETHAN STRANGE, I was a bit doubtful on how the young pairing would go. But oh my word they both have been playing great despite the little to none experience between the pair. keep it up boys
I was a one time supporter of Canberra, but these guys just showed what great respect for their past and present players. Well done guys you deserve your win not only for you but those before you. 🙏🏼👍🏼
The 94 Raiders team was one of the greatest teams to watch especially with Daley and Stuart in the halves and this is coming from a lifelong Roosters supporter
I think the 94 team may go down as possibly the greatest team in Rugby League competition. Broncos after that. Not sure if either we're under a salary cap though.
Apart from an amazing Mal, also respect to Quentin and sad to hear of his passing and also a mention for one of the top modern Props to bless that era Dave Furner How many metres did he eat up for the team, Brett Todd he will just hit up and defend all day. Also another few mentions for some players who are non-raiders who i have learnt to respect over the years Chica, The Late 80s panthers team. Cant go past Blocker and Siro. Gene Miles, Gary Jack, Brett Kenny and co the list could go on and on. Jarrod Makracken, Tony and Kevi Iro. Respect AUS.
Oh look another haka . Someone dies do the haka , someone’s born , do the haka . Granny turns 90 , do the haka . Buy a new pair of jeans , do the haka . Nobody knows what the haka is about anymore 😂
