When that goal post came down I was close to the stadium to pick my husband and his friend up. I looked up to see what looked at the time like thousands of students carrying that goal post down University Avenue and directly over the top of my SUV !!! I thought I was going to have a heart attack!! Now I look back at it as a fond memory of the excitement Coach Leach brought to Texas Tech!! RIP Pirate! 💔

Over the many years of victory and heartache, Mike Leach always made me proud to have TT on my shirt !!

As a tech fan I always loved coach Leach. He left us to soon and now it's time that the university does the right thing and pay his widow what they owed him. RIP coach

The irony here - when I first saw Coach Leach on the sidelines years ago, I thought he looked like Vince Gill. And that song in your tribute is, of course, Vince Gill. I have been a huge fan of Leach and have pretty much adopted his teams as my 2nd favorite wherever he has coached. And I'll never forget that Texas Tech game at 2:25 when they beat Texas on that throw. Go Dolphins, BTW!

It would’ve only been a year or 2 and he would’ve beat Alabama. RIP to a truly great coach!
