Tribute to The Rev Canon Matthew Corkern, dear friend and inveterate pilgrim. 

On this day when we give great thanks for the late Matthew Corkern, former Chair of the American Friends of Canterbury Cathedral and dear friend and loved one to so very many in the community of Canterbury and the wider County of Kent, Dean Robert (now having stepped down as Dean of Canterbury) gives this personal tribute to a truly unique and inspiring young man, so tragically lost to the Episcopal church at such a young age after a brave battle with ALS. We remember also his whole family and all his friends from across the globe in grateful thanks for his ministry and with many happy memories of Matthew to warm our hearts on this sad day.
