I met Robert Bateman when I was in my early twenties I did not know who he was, and he had seen me sketching. in his park he donated to TORONTO. I mentioned Owen Gromme was the one who taught me to sketch details fast. and about light, which fades fast within 7 min.. All the rest follows in line. He liked my work. But once back into the states wasn't long after, someone had stolen all my art materials, sketch books with a lot of notes. No longer could afford to go onto college. Now at 75, I am back at it again. More time but life is more dangerous, even in daylight. But I still have a lot to catch up close within the city, coyote, fox. Deer, rodents, birds, and wild plants.
