She was easily one of the best things about the show, if not the best. I know she and Gaius are pretty polarizing, but I think the fact that she portrays each different cylon incarnation so differently is a testament to her acting.

The interactions between her and Baltar were priceless. I loved how Baltar found a way to answer "Ghost" Caprica Six while also answering the person in front of him at the same time. Amazing writers. She and Baltar had some of the very best interactions.

Sorry. Late again to the party. Life, ya know. Totaly with you guys on BSG series, even the end which they could have started another series but haven't yet. Science fiction has a specific audience fan set. How many Academy awards for science fiction? We are the lost boys and girls and only on tv do we gather as a clan that dominates. Star Trek the tv series started it all. Invaders. How many more do you remember? Star Trek became a movie series also. Kirk/William Shatner lead that charge. Caprica I am still hunting for but I want both disks package I can't seem to find. Someday.

Tricia is such a natural on stage. After seeing her on BSG then on her own short lived show, which they didn’t give it a chance to succeed, she ends up on Lucifer as his Mom,and she’s wonderful! I just can’t take my eyes off her when she’s on screen!❤️❤️❤️❤️

My favorite parts she did in the series was as a captive in and after being on the Pegasus and her final scene in the last show. She played both parts so well, so incredibly different and played them so spot on.

I Ms Helfer acted so well in the series. I loved her commitment to Gaius Baltar, despite the fact that she was in love with such a narcissistic person. His conversion in season four was amazing, and Caprica and Gaius ended up a nice couple.

She voices Sarah Kerrigan in Blizzard Entertainments StarCraft 2 PC games, she is in Command and Conquer 3: Tibeium Wars (so is Grace Park), BioWare's Mass Effect 2 and 3 as EDI, she is also in Lucifer. Other than that, she has a lot of minor roles in TV Series or one-off's. However she went hard into VA work with SC2 and Mass Effect and both performances are vastly different but equally amazing.

people who specifically audition for sci-fi tend to be drawn towards that genre, similarly to fantasy and horror. They already have more than one common ground, it makes it easier to connect with each other. There is something in sci-fi that brings people together, there's something in creating a new universe, as opposed to "modern day Earth" shows that are just another production.

I remember being asked in seventh grade ( this was 1961) who some of my favorite authors were. I put down Hienlien, Bradbury and Clarke. I was informed that Science Fiction was not a legitimate literary genre. I knew they were wrong then and I have been proved right. I think that Sy-Fy allows us to imagine a better world and to hope for mankind’s eventual improvement.

I love her and she was brilliant in Battlestar, but I never fell in love with it. There was some great acting and an interesting story, but everyone was just so depressed all the time. There was no humour in the show. When life gets to the lowest it can go, the only choices you have are depression and making light of the situation. They chose depression which means that I admire it what it is, but I can never fall in love with it like I have with Firefly and Stargate.

I've read several comments here disliking the end of BSG, how 50,000 or so people just took enough stuff like they were camping and spread out over the planet....I really doubt that many people would be ok with that, especially since our actual legends tell of a fantastical city called ATLANTIS where all kinds of wonders and magical shit happened. Why couldn't the writers have gone with that ending? Shouldn't have changed any other part(it's not like the writers explained that most 8's ended up in Asia, or the 6's ended up in Scandinavia, or the 3's ended up in Greece to produce a certain warrior princess--coughcoughXeinacough)😉

@ral1334 I realize that, but a person's reaction to extreme hardship largely depends on the person. My point is that the people who made the show chose to make everyone depressed, it made the show too dark and serious in my opinion. Those two elements are great when done in moderation, but I personally didn't like the constant depression of BSG.

@ral1334 I guess so. I do like dark and serious shows as long as they are balanced by some wit and occasional humour. Just some light in the darkness to make me feel like I'm not watching the Road every episode.

It's a shame that the OP's post was downvoted so much. It, coupled with your spot on analysis can educate others like the OP. For me, it was a series I loved to hate due to the despair. Understandable despair. But then, I've seen too much of the lousy side of the world, due to the wars. But, I could break myself from watching them slug their way through the crapfest that the writers provided so well.

Brilliant show. Portrayed mankind in its reality - political, sexual, drugs, abuse etc. and while I LOVED the entire series - absolutely: - the ending... WTF - so disappointed with the ending it stuck in my head for weeks as I formulated better story lines.

Some one should start a comment section just about ideas people had for better endings. What do you , and anyone else, think about if they had just ended the series at the end of season four, *minus* the twist of the last three minutes? They just jumped away to Earth and that was it, we learned nothing more?
