Thriller was the biggest selling album of all time, he was black when he made this album. His later efforts, Bad and Dangerous did not sell as well as Thriller, yet he was lighter when these albums were released. Therefore one does not need to be light skinned to gain commercial success.
It was never because of race. He was proud to be black. He was naturally Black. And he had vitiligo. Maybe people should research how much it was spread on his body so that they realise how what they are talking about is utter nonsense
