For some reason I had a feeling this would be bad cuz all fan films I've seen for Trick 'r' Treat were horrible and had terrible Sam costumes. However this one was great, Suspensful, great Sam costume, and great effects. Finally, an enjoyable fan film. Great work
This was really good. It has a great costume design for Sam and also love the candy corn baseball bat! Plus, it shows how good Sam really can be. Awesome job!
I really love how Sam is portrayed in this short film. It shows how he can be empathetic with would-be victims until he realizes the real reason why they struggle with their love with Halloween just to help them enjoy the holiday more by getting back at those who traumatized them. And 1:50 is a very interesting take on his character, playing with the bad guys and knowing of their past, before brutally slaughtering them. These reasons, plus how he's portrayed in the original film, are exactly why he's my favorite Horror Film Anti-Hero of all time.
this is really good!? surprised he didn't kill the girl who broke the lollipop, but this has really good acting and I love the candy corn baseball bat! :O
Wow. WOW!!!! What a show! This definitely would not be out of place in the actual Trick ‘t Treat movie, or the graphic novel! Well done, all of you! 11 out of 10!
The kidnapping psycho forgot one of the most important rules of Halloween. ALWAYS check your candy! Well done guys this was so awesome and well made, I love Sam and I love trick r treat and I love Halloween!
Very neat! I like your bloody effects and sound choices. I'd say my only quip would be the night/day transitions, but it's a small thing. Awesome film!
Oh god that razer part was so hard to watch. I don't do scary but i love your stuff so i watched it on silent / fast forward. Amazing job! Love it all. Very professional and the credit graphics were awesome. Maybe one day i'll be able to embrace my emotions and watch it normal speed. Nice job! I want to see more.
I just came home from watching Trick 'R Treat for the third time at a movie theater in my town. I did a little research and stumbled upon a comment that mentioned this film. Wow, just amazing and really so professionally done. I love the bright blue front door of the young woman's house, and the same shades of blue are echoed inside the house. (Blue and orange look so sharp together!) Bravo!
Commenting on a two year old short film about Sam? Absolutely! I love the idea of him, while at first it looks like he’s going to attack the woman for throwing the candy and seemingly disrespecting Halloween, he realizes that she suffered a traumatic experience during the holiday(likely when she was a child herself), and instead went after the person likely responsible for causing that trauma. And when he isn’t committing gruesome acts of vengeance, he’s actually pretty adorable (fight me on this, you can’t change my mind)
I've been waiting for another "Trick or Treat" movie with lil ol sweetheart Sam....let's be honest so has everyone who are fans of the original TOT movie? Each year I wait in hopes that there's going to be a sequel?
By the way, if you guys decide to do another short film on Sam, I've done a Trick 'r Treat 2 concept album inspired by the works of Douglas Pipes and am allowing any one to use it without copyright as of currently.
I loved the original movie and the character of Sam. This wasn't a bad short, but it was confusing with the continuity errors of day then night, then day again, then night again. And was the dark haired woman supposed to be an adult Ronda? Her story wasn't entirely clear.
So I'm just wondering here. Who is exactly this sam character. Is he or she a creature, a monster, a demon or just a person in Halloween costume and playing the prank.
