When the narrator talks about how the Sun is still up while people are trick'or'treating and you realize they live in the states. Or at least not my country since trick'or'treating starts between 5-6pm and the sun has already almost completely set by then. (Canada by the by) Man's just wanted some candy, gives the mans some candy and not break the rules and he'd trot on his merry way.

I think the most shocking aspect of the story is that a kid gets a sustainable paying job right after high school and then only takes 3 years to afford his own house.

Well they do so Halloween is meant to be a like a night where we give candy to the spirits or offerings rather to appease thier restless souls based on the lore years ago. Whatever was messing with this guy wasnt even human it might have been a spirit asking for candy or a treat so it can rest in peace.

We don't really have Halloween here in my country.I say "really",because some kids still kind of try to get some free candy,but people don't have anything prepared so they just give you whatever they have in they fridge.Companies try to use Halloween as a marketing strategy.So all and all my Halloween is just staying at home watching scary videos and sometimes me and my friends go to one of our houses and watch some scary movie.

Alrighty, can anyone help me find an oldie: an asylum worker takes pity on a patient of the asylum over their time working their. The patient is being "treated" by exposure therapy for "irrational fears". Eventually, they become the manager or something, and attempt to make the patient more comfortable and regret their choice. Hindsight 20-20.
