So I watched this and I was really skeptical about this and I bought the mask and did this and wow! It’s legit possible and I’ve never done this and your right it can be done I’m supper happy. Warlock stretch was a working process but once done, amazing! Thank you!
The best customization I’ve seen yet! I have the same TOTS mask I’m wanting to do the same thing to. Mine is autographed by several MM actors, so I don’t want to ruin those.
I used thin plastic grocery bags and just started stuffing, then I took a thick garbage bag to add it as the bulk. Just keep stuffing untill it is completely full. But you have to add the Velcro to get it to manipulate the shape you want to achieve. For the nose, I just packed it in tightly.
The original mask was a DP Captain Kirk mask which was flesh colored. They used lacquer spray paint to get it white. Lacquer and latex don't mesh, so the paint rubbed off and deteriorated the latex exposing the flesh tone.
I'm not sure if they use different hair on the mask now, but I was thinking of picking up one of these from Trick or Treat and I feel like the hair in some unboxings does not look enough like Warlock in Halloween II. Did you style the hair right out of the box? Or did you put new hair on the mask? New to buying masks and this is the best one I can find on a budget and I really want to get that hair lookin more like Dick Warlock. Thank you!
Thanks. The CGP warlock and NOP Maniac are more subtle skin tones, the TOTS H2 is mass produced so the attention to fine details aren't quite there. You gotta remember, the original Kirk mask was a peach base color, and the white spray paint kept rubbing off of the neck exposing the base again.
I was looking at reviews on this mask online etc, and I have no idea the complaints, this is a great mask for the official licensed mask for 60 bucks. Now if I was going to do a H2 costume and I bought this mask, I would be sending this mask to an artist and get this mask a completely new repaint, new hair put in etc. And I would be paying a little bit extra, but still a bargain. There is so much that can be done with this mask, the mould itself is fantastic, for people wanting a perfect H2 mask, get an artist to repaint and rehair it, and problem solved.
Nice I have same mask.. But converted mine more into an H1 painted the neck not big on fleshtones blended with the face color added weathering in areas like yours but lighter and not on the nose turned out great it's like a hybrid mask side view H1 from front more H2
Wow very nice job, you did make the Warlock Halloween II look :D i own this mask too, it's the best Michael Myers to hit the Halloween Stores, my only question is did the Warlock original have the peachy skin like neck like this one does?
Literally, just added a little shade to a different Myers Mask today with some cheap black makeup.. took less than 10 min. Results are great.. Yes, they don't really need to be sent out for retouching, etc..
I'm getting this mask this week. What color/shades did you use? Did you use a sponge or brush? Any tips would greatly help. Great video on doing the hair :) Thanks
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Ive had this mas for a couple years too and this year I want to weather and "legitimize" it a bit. Your hair looks freaking great! Im going to see if I can mimic yours, it looks so good! Do you strap the velcro closed when you wear it? Ive also been kicking around the idea of blacking out the eyes. Its a subject many feel strong about, but my eyes are too "feminine" being blue with long eyelashes so I'd prefer to black out. That hair thoiugh is a MAJOR improvement. Great job!
Yes you have. If you use normal paint it would crack because paint is not flexible. But if you mix it with latex the paint will stretch to the mask. Hope I helped :)
Okay Thanks :) + Does Making It Tighter Around Your Head With The Velcro Also Give It Sort Of A Warlock Look Because It Would Be Tight? ~~MichaelMyersFan1001
how would u customize the trick r treat studios Halloween II mask to make it look more like the Halloween 1 mask , I guess it would include repainting the neck and doing some stuff with the hair ?
hey i love the way you altered the mask and hair... would you be willing to sell the one in the video? or can you do the work on a TOTS mask if i have it sent to you and then you send it to me when u are done? pls tell me how much it will cost to do the extra work. Thanks
I actually did not use any latex with my acrylic. I used a sponge and dry brushed on. It's not enough paint to build up and cake on, it's basically using washes to tone the dark down.
First of all gotta say the masks looks wicked! June arrived today and the only thing I don't really like is the hair, I really want that matted look you've got on this one. Quick question though.. How did you do this without the hair falling out? Because I've watched your tutorial video and you use a towel to dry the water off, though the hair on mine is coming out just from running my hands though it :/ your help would be much appreciated :)
Hey Timothy, I have a question for you about my Michael Myers H2 mask. I was wondering if it is still possible to restyle the hair exactly like you do even if it's had hairspray on it for about a year already? Please get back to me as soon as possible. Thanks.
I ripped all the hair off my Trick Or Treat Studio Halloween 2 mask because when I turned it upside down it would showing spots where they didn’t glue the hair all the way so I am needing to know where I can find some hair to use as a replacement for when I glue it to cover all of the mask, but first I need to what kind of fake hair I need to buy from a store and it’s color as well as needing to know the glue I will be needing for it! I would really appreciate it if anyone could reply so that I can fix it, thank you.
(continued) Your neck and behind ears until its starts to curl and look nappy. Spray with stiff hold hairspray and dry with hair dryer. Iftar what you've done and apply it to the mask. If us don't like it, add water and start over.
I could...but half the fun is experimenting. No one told me, ya just gotta jump in with both feet. Here is where I will give you a pointer. Do you have hair on your head? If so take, a spray bottle and spray your head untill it is saturated. Towel dry. Take palm size amount of gel(stiff hold) work all the way through your hair, pinching with your finger tips as you work It in towards your scalp. When the gel starts to cure, take your index finger and twirl tufts of your hair near yhe back of yi
this video is exactly what ive been trying to say to people who diss this mask. skip buying that 300 dollar mask an put some effort in this 60 dollar one. after your done you will have something you created an put time in that you can have pride in. One question, what tools did you use to put that shadowing on the mask? just a brush or did you use a air paint it? cause i want to do this too
Hey i just got this mask and it looks great but it looks stupid up close on my head so I was wondering if there is anything I can do to get a looser fit so it doesn't suction cup itself to my face and look stupid?!
And Another Question (Sorry To Be A Pain) But Could You Tell Me EXACTLY How You Did The Hair? I Know You Used A Bit Of Water, Hair Gel And Hairspray But Could You Tell Exactly What You Did With Those 3 Items? Thanks Alot Your A Lifesaver! :) ~~MichaelMyersFan1001
see i like how yours came out what kind of stand do you have it on a Styrofoam head or a normal mask stand? and how did you stretch it so well, also what did you do to restyle the hair thanks mate :)
That is just on a stand and stuffed with plastic bags. The hair I used a water bottle and hair gel. I used a sponge and blended some acrylic burnt umber and faded the nose and and added some to the neck area. Everything paint wise is very subtle. Not too heavy. Too many guys cake the paint on and it looks forced.
+timothy miller thank you man, and you didn't have to cut out the eyes anymore huh ? So ok you just wetted the hair and used some hair gel and just re did it that simple haha some people say it's a pain to redo but ill take your word on it that it's pretty easy and fun to do, you're one of the few people out there that did it simple and easy and made a huge difference while getting it right :D
If you wear a beanie and velcro the neck along with some temple padding it could give you the warlock stretch while wearing it. Problem is, it's gonna be hot! To get a smaller mask from TOTS, will be impossible. You would need to talk to Justin Mabry and unfortunately your $50 mask becomes a $200 custom order. TOTS only makes them one size and I think you'll be fine.
Sweet Jesus man, you made this mask look like a $800 mask! I did some work to mine but DAMN you're good! I gotta get back at mine right now. I'm using this video as a reference. Any tips?
Totally agree, the other thing I’ve always found funny is the fact the real mask was cheap as hell haha, I see complaints about the latex etc and I’m like 🤔wouldn’t it being not the best of quality make it more accurate to the movie? We all know the story behind the mask! It was pretty much a happy accident and looked amazing.
So just wet it then towel dry it, then work that gel in, then just give it a coat of spray......im a little iffy i dont want to fuck my mask up... its a great mask but you made it look way better with the hair
Haha yer now you've said that I can see the bald spots on the video. Hmm maybe il just try using hairspray because I've been playing around with the hair without any products whatsoever and I've got it looking pretty cool, though because the hairs so soft the slightest touch and it just falls out of shape haha
If you are gonna drop $60 on a mask, the n send it off to artist for a overhaul, you are better off just buying a psycho, creep or maniac that is already done
I Just Asked Chris If He Could Make It Smaller For Me So Maybe It Will Be Tight Around My Head And Give The Warlock Look.Hopefully He Replys And Hopefully He Will Make It Smaller! ~~MichaelMyersFan1001
The eye are different. I think there is a difference. I have a 2009, good, but not great, and a 2018 which looks like a FAT version. Its the eyes. 2018 looks massed. No care.
