This trick is amazing 🤩🤩 I also have a trick as follows 1.If all the bonds are same (i e: single, double or triple) and the molecule has free lone pair then • if yes then situation 2 if no then it is polar 2. If the molecule has all the elements bonded to the same atom (i.e: in CH⁴) then • if yes then non polar if no then polar
Structure is same but in H2O, the structure is: H-O-H so here, the O atom is in the middle that will attract the H atoms towards itself and hence, producing partial charges. Whereas in CO2, the structure is: O=C=O Here, the O atoms, without moving are trying to move the same C atom towards themselves, cancelling the charges produced.
