If I was a director,and I just saw this. I would most definitely callin every single person in this film to create ALL my action scenes in my movies lol. I really wish fighting was more like this in movies now and days,especially when it comes to superhero films.but overall,great job because this is the best aerobic action I've seen in a really longtime.

thats assuming it would actually land on its target these guys have skill but but the moment they start turning to set up one of these kicks is the moment they get hit in the back of the head or get pushed to the ground dont get me wrong i love tricking but these kicks are just not useful in a fight
Taekwondo is the art of kicking and defence. I learned Taekwondo I Philippines yes in Asia and its so much fun in grade 2 I can do 40 push-ups clapping too. It was an awesome memories so many tournament and promotion is hard so hard!!! Especially brown and red belt to junior black ( the red and black together belt) so many Stan's and 360 kicks and stuff so many and so fu and you don't get hurt you learn to hurt if needed Ian's you get hurt to fell the pain you do to others before performing

***** the word "art" is used as a synonym for SKILL, so yeah, martial arts are basically "Martial Skills". (Martial derives from Mars, the roman God of War, and it's used to refer Combat or Wars issues). These tricks and flips are clearly not meant for fighting purposes, so they aren't part of the martial skills. Instead, you could say this is part of Taekwondo, which is more than just fighting skill; it also involves philosophy and art (as it's used in most of times, aestetic culture).
This is amazing. If the tournament organizers are smart they should recruit Taylor Lautner to be a judge for this thing and get global publicity for this sport. Taylor himself is into extreme martial arts although he's not at this level.

I agree with you to some extent but it seems you forget to account for the power of gravity working with them. Also, in normal fighting situations, these high jump kicks show that their leg muscles are well off enough to make their ground kicks effective. I apologize if this seems disrespectful but I mean this with good intent.
these are party tricks, yup. but if you can do them, it also means you can do a number of more basic moves. just because you could dodge a kick like that or a series of kicks like that doesn't make it easy to do. I'm not saying the moves aren't way over the top, it's just a little silly to assume that they'd do the backflip bicycle kick in a real fight. It's like showing off; they can still kick your as with out doing the fancy things you see here.

There is a very big difference between a guy with a metal pipe, small arm or knife, and a guy with a rifle several blocks away. The martial arts seen in the video above could be potentially useful against one of these, guess which one it is? Hence my comment earlier in response to WeAreAllThereIs, I was trying to explain that I agree with him on some things he said, but that these martial arts techniques definitely had their limits despite not being entirely useless.
Grab a bunch of dirt and throw it in front of you as the bullet is fired thus deflecting the bullet as you jump out of the way. Hopefully the deflection of the bullet by the dirt doesn't cause the bullet to deflect to where you jump to. If on asphalt or concrete use the break hardened concrete technique to overcome the opponents bullet with cobbles of broken pavement. And also the same jump out of the way of the bullet technique.

and you are also wrong it's called tricking it takes aspects of both karate and taekwondo as well as capoeira and mixes them with aspects from gymnastics and breakdancing to create an aesthetic blend of kicks flips and twists
So this is what double thick white belt is. I always thought it was to be kept secret. Tenth degree isn't a collage of every single move in TKD it's this. They make it look so easy until you realize you have the gravity equivalent of a brontosaurus and relearning to jump kick might be lost to you forever. Being to much of a ground walker instead of a jumper will reset your abilities with you forgetting how to jump. Which leads to relearning how to be light.
