Trident 690 Hardtop and tested offshore fishing capabilities crossing the Caloundra Bar on a Rough Day in moderate to big swell (1.4 - 1.6 meters).
The wide angle lenses we use in the video footage do not do the size of the swell justice (I know a few of you are going to comment how flat it looked) ....The Caloundra Bar Crossing was big enough to give Daz a shot of adrenaline and keep him on his toes. Billy the producer wore a mouthguard. We had our self inflating life jackets on and we were all set.
Big shout out to Nick and the Team at Quintrex, the Trident was a seriously impressive boat in the rough seas, and the blade hull works like a charm you can see in some of the go-pro footage how well the spray was deflected.
We can't also forget the Team at BRP Evinrude. Thanks for building such a great outboard. The G2 had so much punch, it saved us from a number of potentially dangerous situations. We had total confidence because of the instant torque and instant throttle response that made it perfect for the offshore situation.
