Newport Bus' 431 (KV02 USH), an Alexander ALX400 bodied Dennis Trident 2, on the 36 around Maesglas and Duffryn. Recorded on the 9th of July 2024.
Vehicle info:
431 was new to Connex Bus UK in London with the fleet number TA92. It remained there through Connex's selling of the company to National Express, then a further selling to Abellio, until 2012 when it was painted white and used as a shuttle bus for the Olympic Games in London that year. After the Olympics it was withdrawn from London service and sold to the now-defunct WebberBus in the south west. It was purchased by Newport Bus in approximately 2017 where it has remained since. It and the other Tridents in the Newport Bus fleet are primarily for school services nowadays but there are usually one or two on public work each weekday.
