It makes me cry due to it being one of the most painful conditions of the face that I’ve ever known. I wouldn’t wish this pain on my worst enemy.

Can anyone share their experience with lyrica for atypical trigeminal neuralgia? Does it treat the neuralgia completely in the long term or one needs to keep taking it for the rest of our lives? I tried tegretol and gabapentin before but they didn’t help me so now i have been recommended lyrica by my neurologist.

Im 33y old suffering from this problems since two years. What would be the reason? MRI Scan is clear no tumour or problem...

Stress is also one of the possible etiology that could result in trigeminal neuralgia. Hypertension also is one. Is compression by arteries ruled out?

Try taking magnesium supplements and avoiding a lot of calcium-rich sources like cheese.
