Ive been live 19 hours. I made the mistake of getting into cs 2. Damn. Its pretty crazy how amazing the game looks and how they are playing it on a high level. My favorite times growing up going to lan partys for 3 days str8. Good ole lethal ganers and ghetto lan party @@noelbgood8845
I have a question @ancientCS. How do these demo files as old as 2002 have voices recorded in them? Wouldn't they have been both large file sizes and very CPU intensive to record them for the technology at that time?
Its all in the demo file and you only need to play it with the correct version of CS. I wouldnt say it was super CPU intensive back then but people had bad hardware and recording a demo would often lower their framerate. The file size is still pretty small at around 30 MB for each demo.
@@MatthewStites711 Those are 1998 graphics. Every CS from the betas up to 1.6 was made in the plain GoldSrc engine from Half-Life. CS:CZ was the first CS that was made in a modified version of the GoldSrc, and then the engine was modified more and evolved into Source.
Are you viewing these with complexity demo player? What is the walkthrough on viewing old demos? I found a treasure trove of my old stuff and would like to look at them.
i have an old offline version of 1.5 and 1.6 and mostly use them for playing demos. i use the complexity demo player only for very old demos (1.0 or 1.1) since i can't play them with my version of 1.5 and the demo player fixes them.
