Art isn’s just pretty paintings and catchy melodies. Sometimes it’s hard to engage with and makes us question ourselves as well as the artist and their intentions. That was an impressive level of intellectual and emotional engagement from you, particularly as it was done on Patreon live stream. Doubly so as it was such a mood-killer directly after reacting to Knower. Next time, hopefully Happy Mark will get to stick around for more than ten minutes…
Hooooo nelly. If you find this song disturbing, Skynd will be... quite the ride. 😬 But also I fucking love it. There's only one song I can't listen to. Not because it's over the top grotesque like some others, but because I am the mother of two sweet joyous toddlers and the story of the song in question's subject matter... Yeesh I get misty just talking about it.
Me and my daughter went to see Skynd in Glasgow just before Xmas and it was a banging gig but yup felt a bit guilty at really enjoying it...weird isn't it? She tries very hard to see these incidents from the victims point of view rather than glorifying the perps and to keep the victims "alive" as it were, like with the track John Wayne Gacey where she recalls all the victims names most of which have been well forgotten by now. She did also say in interview that it was a fascinating insight into the human psyche and how normal appearing individuals can do such heinous things and no-one suspects a thing
Interesting reaction posing many questions. I am however confused as to how the ad at the front of this video was for a company that makes Lolita dresses; you didn't mention the book until part way through so how did the AI know you were going to & why did I then get targeted with that ad? Hell I don't think they even make them in my dress size, actually I don't know what my dress size would be. How does this AI targeted advertising work & if this is how wrong it can get in maybe we should all be worried that AI may end us all.
