TRIGGERED: Taking Back Your Mind In The Age Of Anxiety Part I | Pastor Steven Furtick 

I was diagnosed with anxiety a few years ago, but the past few months I decided I'm not going to claim that over my life! If it isn't from God, I don't want it. While I have still had a few anxiety attacks-- when I start to feel one coming on I pray and ask DECLARE that it won't take over. God is good and is freeing me from this!

“Everybody is suffering...EVERYBODY IS SUFFERING!” I tell myself EVERY DAY I’m the only one who suffers. By all means I’m NOT taking pleasure in others’ misery, but I feel so alone and think everybody has a better life than I do! I CAN’T WAIT FOR THIS SERIES!!!

“I’m holding it but I’m not controlling it.” I literally got chills all over.

“We’re teaching people they can get swole without being sore”

I am watching this when my anxiety is at its high and my insomnia is skyrocketing at night

“God gave you energy when you were exhausted” I was so tired from the contractions that started at 10pm very consistently until 7am, and yet i am not ready for labor , only at 3cm. So without good rest, at 8am they had to induce the contraction to be stronger and it went on until 2pm, and by the time i was ready for labor, i was out of energy. Trying to push my baby out for an hour, doctors and nurses was trying to scare me / encourage me etc to give me the motivation to push my baby out.. But i gave up. I was falling asleep in the midst of the chaos. Whole night i was praying for the pain to go away but it got worst of course and i was crying in my heart telling “God I cant do this anymore, I don’t care if they would cut me open, i just want my baby out safely because i cant do it” At that moment after my cry i was guided by Holy Spirit to say in my heart, “ Jesus, give me the strength to push my baby out” and supernatural surge of energy immediately filled me and i became wide awake. After three long straight pushes, my first child, a baby girl safely arrived by God’s mighty hand. God is amazing. God will also lead you to pray when you are totally lost. Even at that moment of chaos in your life He will be there for you every second of your life.

Amazing amazing amazing!!! God is able! He's freed me from anxiety and depression and oh Lord!!! If He did it for me, He'll do it for you!! God's given me so much peace, I've been able to humble myself so amazingly that I KNOW I COULDN'T DO WITHOUT HIM!!! This message is a reminder of what He's brought me out of!! Don't lose hope brothers and sisters, God's gotchu, hold on, it might be discouraging but God is only strengthening you!! Praise be to God for always and forever!! Help us to stay present, Lord. Deliver us from evil and deliver us from self. Help us to heal deeply and to trust You with all of our failures, pain, the bad, the good, and the ugly. Help us to surrender every area of our lives to You, Jesus. Help us to not worry about anything but to pray about everything. Guard our minds from the spirit of deception, grant us hope in a hopeless world, help us to not fall for the spirit behind comparison, help us to be full of gratitude and help us to cling to You, Father. We pray we continue to hear Your word for faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God. Guard our minds and hearts, ears and eyes. Break off the distractions, help us throw away our idols, and help us to fix our eyes upon You for You are the author and perfector of our faith in Jesus' name, amen.

Sing the hand of God's one specific time that I can remember. I was working with my brother-in-law. Overwhelming amounts of material and I prayed God give me strength today. Allow me to do this job and get it done. I need your power. And within the next few minutes, the guy that owned the property sun came out and said hey, do you care if I bring my tractor out we can move this a lot faster. Amen And we got it done. How cool I prayed for strength and God sent me a tractor?

Most High God I your Grace is beyond the understanding of a mortal man, but I thank You for being so clear at a time when things are hard for me to understand. Your whisper is louder than the shout of all my enemies combined and you will lift me up and give me victory as You have so many times before. As you grant me the honor of warring for your Name, please never allow me to accept any praise that belongs to you. It all does all praise is for the Lord. Please restore my ability to lean on You instead of my own weakness. I ask that you fight for those I love and I will try my best to focus on my assignment even though i am not even worthy of it. As you are willing to forgive the sins of the whole world, please please help me to forgive that one so i may finally have peace. Your will is perfect and mine leads to ruin save me from myself and remember that we are your possession. All I have is your will for me to work, please don't look at me too closely lest it offend you. I will fight for my brothers and sisters with all this heart you have given me. Please wake them up and give me the discernment to know what battles belong to me and I know beyond doubt if I release my battles it is impossible for You to lose them. As such I have already won. Please help me keep your vessel clean so its use may be worthy and honorable. I have no strength on my own, please restore me beyond my past. I thank You that you have heard me for I'm not even worthy to seek your presence. Protect my brothers and sisters and give us all the will to withstand Your purifying fire. People don't like the word humble, or humility because they are comfortable in their own insecurities, devices, opinions, arrogance, pride, complacency. Um... l can go on for day, but stop right there. We know who to turn to when troble starts, but in all those things l just mentioned we don't. We ALLOW Satan to confuse us into our own comfortability. Yet, we wonder why we still fail and rarely, if ever, pray to God for repentance and be humble!!! This should be a reality check of who the true "lizard" is in our lives and chop Satan off at the head!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have dealt with anxiety depression and panic attacks for over 20 yrs because of a traumatic scene. I have been doing everything on my own strength and not Gods. Thank you 🙏 for doing this series for me. I need to hear what your daughter said. God told me I was healed but it’s been a battle which I think it’s just what I know. Like a bad habit. I was struggling with suicide because my mental illness and only thing stops me is love for my family and love i have from god. And when i took god back in my life I felt joy in life started come back.

Kids are so beautiful and want you to see them swim across. Show you the strength they have. to bad we have to grow up. I HAVE A LIZARD right now. you are literally RIGHT ON . GOD IS speaking .. We must DO what he says.. Even when it's hard, and it hurts cause the flesh is fighting against our spirit.. Nail it to the Cross by choice faith comes from in the heart and brings excitement, it's driven in love. To where many think it's about how well they can quote scripture, how long they pray, intellect, education etc - truth is God don't need any of those all he needs is a willing heart.. A heart of humility will open doors we never knew existed , God will move in ways we never though of.. It's not about us it's Jesus Christ.. Amen.. I TRUST YOU.. God has anointed each of us for something we all have a gift , but most don't receive what God placed in us due to their pride and puffed up intellect. They think how God's gonna use you to teach me I have a college degree and your a high school drop out .. WATCH GOD move in that high school drop out and show himself strong through the high school drop out .. God ain't looking for what the world says is good and qualifies , he's looking for willing heart who will humble themself under his mighty hand and call on Jesus realizing we need Jesus every second of every minute of every hour of every day of every week of every month of every year . We NEED JESUS ..

This is the 3rd time I've listened to this message and I hear something new of value each time. My life was one big example of trying to control anything and everything. These words are so true and if a person has any doubt that Jesus can't calm one's mind I'm a living testimony that he does!

It is through the struggle that growth that is achieved when deny the lizard that want us to stop then we deny growth. I ask the god brings me more lizard moments and opportunities to deny its voice, for I know what is within me is greater than that what is outside of me. I know the strength has been placed in me, for he has placed it there. I know that as I believe in him, so I shall reap the harvest of the gifts and these labour's and tests will soon pass. For faith and rejoicing even in struggle is my sword.

Man this message was so powerful. It impacted me a lot. A lot of us really do judge ourselves when really we need to not be surprised by what we go through. We will always have challenges. We have to surrender them and give them to God. We only have God’s peace when we let go and release that control. The problem is it’s so hard and our minds can trick us. Especially Satan of what to control and want to let go. We must consistently seek the Holy Spirit and not judge ourselves when we can’t figure everything out. We struggle for a reason and we need a Savior for a reason. God uses it all!

This is a sermon that touches my heart and brought strength . I’m so blessed beyond measure because we cannot allowed our mind to have control over us we have to come humble to the throne of God. Thank you Pastor Steven Furtick!

Wow wow ❤️ don’t let that lizard in your mind tell you lies. God holds your future, your present, and even your past. He has been with you every step of the way. You are where you’re supposed to be. I never realized I was too controlling of my life because I didn’t see any symptoms of it like other people, but now through disappointments, it’s showing. I wanted to be in control and have my life go the way it should, and tell God I should go through this to be stronger like this. I’m even holding onto the pain that was caused by the people who are NOT EVEN IN MY LIFE ANYMORE. Then I bring blame to that, and doubts, until I have exhausted my mind and wait for another day to do the same things. God said, My plans are not your plans. My ways are HIGHER than your ways. Sometimes I get clueless on what His plans are for me, but that’s where faith grows. Faith is a lens and a perspective. We should always walk through life by FAITH and not by sight. This sermon has shown me where to get hope and peace, from Jesus alone.

I ask for God's will in my life. I am prosecuted at work but it is like the nicer I am, the worse it gets. Being humble and kind is seen as weakness in the factory I work in. I just pray for my enemies, doesn't usually start nice but then I realize they need God and I end up praying for them in earnest. I pray in gets better soon but I am trying to stand through it.

This is right on time!! God knows what we need, when we need it ! God revealed to me a couple of weeks ago that I'm living a defeated life because I'm letting the past things people did and said run thru my mind all the time. I've been working on refocusing my mind when those thoughts start pouring in. I speak to my mind and say "no. I'm not going back there". The battle is truly in the mind. back in the day Joyce Meyer wrote a really good book called "The Mind is the Battlefield". That could not be more true today than ever with all the voices thru social media, MSM and talk shows etc... coming at us all the time. Just say no when your mind starts to wander back down those dark hallways of pain, rejection or disappointment. Like Paul said press forward to the goal of the prize of the high calling of God!! Praise His Holy Name!! Praise God for the amazing way He's using this church to teach and bring healing and positive change to so many lives!!

Kinda cool looking back how in 4 years God has shown me there is no God vs Satan. It's just God. Using anything He chooses. And Satan is still asking permission. Like in Job. I am so much happier and humbly confident from the struggles of the last 4 years. Stick with God y'all watch His plan unfold in your life and rejoice!!!!!

Last Year around the 1st September I experienced what I thought to be a near death experience from drugs, which lead me to making the decision to follow Christ, but lately i've been slightly dealing with anxiety over the fact that September is a couple of weeks away and it brings a lot of fear towards that day which leads to insomnia, but i feel your massage today spoke a lot to me and it reminds me to stay strong in this season of my life. i'd like to say thank you.
