Hey, I'm revisiting VisiBox, and I'm still struggling with this. I understand that it currently takes over the Stream Deck, until there's a better way. Would it be possible to have a toggle in VisiBox to fully deactivate its control over the Stream Deck? I want to control VisiBox just from the app without any MIDI, and I want to use my Stream Deck for OBS without any VisiBox buttons for now. Would this be possible somehow, thank you!

If the Elgato software is running, Visibox should not take over the Stream Deck. Elgato's software does allow you to send MIDI messages. So you can use the Elgato software to send MIDI to Visibox via inter-application MIDI. We've tested this on the Mac and it works great. It sounds like you just want to control Visibox directly (without MIDI). That should certainly work too. If you are still having problems, please contact us through our website spaceage.tv/contact and we can help you get this working.

Thank you very much for this reply. The expected behavior makes sense. In Windows, for me, the Elgato Stream Deck app doesn't overwrite VisiBox on the Stream Deck, which causes an annoying overlap where one button activates both the Stream Deck app and VisiBox. Thank you, I just received your email reply to try to solve this. I truly appreciate it 🙏

Is there any way to use the Stream Deck app together with Visibox. I wanted to add visibox buttons to my current Stream deck setup, since I only have one stream deck and I need all my stream deck configurations when using Visibox, is it possible? Thanks

As of now (October 2022), that's not possible. Visibox takes over the whole Stream Deck, so you need to quit the Elgato software. This method ensures that all of the clips show up in the right order and that the transport buttons are available too. That being said, the latest Stream Deck plugin API may have the features we need to do a proper Stream Deck Store plugin in the future. This is absolutely on our radar and if there's enough interest, we'll make it happen.

@@spaceage Amazing thanks for the info! I'll keep testing Visibox, but unfortunately I might not be able to use it until there's a stream deck integration. I personally rather set things up more manually, even if it takes more work I just realized that even with two stream decks Visibox would take over (since streamdeck app needs to quit) meaning it's not possible to use a stream deck at all while Visibox is in use with another stream deck. Hope this feature can be added in the feature, it's really the only negative I find from this awesome software!

@@SantiYounger You could always use a MIDI controller to trigger Visibox while you use the Stream Deck for your current setup. Here's a video on using MIDI with Visibox: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hYWjD0U3IWY.html

@@spaceage thanks for the suggestion, I did try this, but visibox still interferes with my Streamdeck even if I connect a separate MIDI keyboard, hope there's some way to disable streamdeck integration fully. (I just sent an email with more details) Thank you
