We need more men like this that are willing to teach young men what to do and how to do it! Work advice, life advice or just funny jokes and good music, men like this are a diamond in the rough!! Thank you for your content sir! God bless!
I'm not talking about the instructions and trimmers that can't do that wint have instructions for doing. I'm saying I've never seen anyone explain it in a video.
Broooo I disassembled the whole head and hand spun it on then fought it back together. Speed feed what. I can’t believe I didn’t know that. Thank you for the lesson.
DUDE! You, sir, are a legend! I have a weed eater that loads this way and I searched and searched and searched and couldn't find anything on how to load it so I've just been feeding the foot or so it needs and then refilling it after 3-4 minutes when it inevitably breaks cause I couldn't figure out how to load it all the way. THANK YOU SIR!!
What are you talking about there's hundreds of videos of people doing this.. there's a video that the company made that shows you how to do this. That was "olmost" the dumbest the dumbest thing you could have possible said.
Some times you just gota be honest. Seen this video and flipped my wig.. Ran to the site and basically had it in the cart. One quick job and a trip to the shed to check compatibility. Hell Yes! its gonna fit..! I knew it. I looked at the head and looked in disbelief.. to my horror. I've been tearing that head apart for the last three seasons. I had no flippin Idea. Great video! just thought I'd share
I have the ego and it does this at the push of a button. Takes seconds and saves way more time especially when you don’t have a second pair of hands. It’s an amazing machine
Switched to echo for the speed feed. That and a darned good simple 2 stroke. 4 mix is great, but the 111 I used really put me off and valve adjustments.
I’m 42, been cuttin grass makin money since I was 9yrs old. It wasn’t until I was 23 that I learned this (bcuz I had a twin sided weed eater) maaaaaaan I tell ya what, it was only my side gig at 23 back then, but it saved me like 30 min and no cussing myself anymore…. Hahaha I’ve known this for so long now I thot everyone knew… well done on passing on your wealth of information, Sir. Be safe out there! 💪🏽💪🏽👍🏾👍🏾❤️❤️
When I used to landscape I got pretty quick at feeding new line into the wacker/eater but I think this is a genius idea especially for people who are new to lawn care. And for the professional level it’s just faster and we all know time is money!
For residential use, 100%. As someone who does commercial mowing for a living, I would hate that. I keep a dozen or so pre wrapped heads in my truck so we don’t have to waste time wrapping them while on the job.
Arnetoli has been doing this for at least a decade and even more, with a much smarter mechanism , ease of use , maintenance and efficiency. I use it with 3mm "saw"(jagged) line -and never went nor looked back ever since. Thanks for this video either way, I support 🙏🏽
I have one of those is actually a great trimmer but every three or four years you need to replace the battery. I would suggest getting multiple batteries . It’s probably one of the best electric trimmers on the market.
Forced to have it but I don't like them. Rather have the older ones where you put half the string into two holes, secure it in the notch and wind it yourself. These seem to not wind correctly and constantly jam up.
two things i learned about the speed feed, 1st step on the string and pull the reel of new sting to above you head, do that twice and perfect amount of string, 2nd, different trimmers rotate different directions and the spool will have a directional arrow, if you put it on backwards the line will clog or suck back in instead of out when you bump it
I have both Stihl and Echo that i used for my business. The auto-cut on the Stihl will jam up if you’re in really sandy or dusty conditions. I’ve never had a problem with my Echos. The one advantage of the Stihl is it is much easier to trim straight edges but they both do it equally good
I just change out the head and I use the really sick line. It comes in a piece that’s real easy and loops over very very quick but my dad does this he loves it.
I use to landscape for 6 years and this was the best thing ever! Made it go so much faster, only problem I would have, people loosing the spring or it gets jammed
I bought that Stihl, I returned it. The windy head thing is so big you can't get weeds in the cracks of sidewalk. The straight pole may be better for your back, but you can't perfectly edge your edges. I use a curved craftsman now. The string feeding head is smaller and you can angle into more places. The only difference is you wind to pieces of string rather than one. Just as quick.
I bought a cheap Ryobi weedeater a few years back that came with a winding tool to speed-feed the line. Huge help, except that it tends to overlap my line and it won't bump-feed lol
Been running speed feeds since 2011.. best ever.. ran stihl trimmers for a while and went back to echo.. lighter and more durable... would encounter shaft issues on stihl trimmers and never on echos..
I have the Ryobi 2-stroke straight shaft weed trimmer and it has the same type of quick feed you can use the plastic green handle to wrap the string or do it by hand it’s so simple to do.
I got an attachment that fits on any modern trimmer. It’s so much better than the “feed” types likes this here. Plus you get 4 cutting lines instead of 2.
I'm so fed up with my Husqvarna trimmer. I have problems nearly every time I switch attachments. I was even going to buy multiple power bases, so that each attachment had a dedicated base...but they don't sell them separately. After using my hedge trimmer attachment, I can't get the weed eater to engage. Excuse my rant, this looks really helpful.
Smh!! I feel so stupid now. I thought my trimmer was just messed up. N the problem was my dumbass didn't know how I had to put string in it lol thanks dude u helped me not murder my trimmer 😂😂
