You are right. The trimmers you are using are marvellous & no joke. They're sharp, efficient, time saving. Not like most of the trimmers people using in UK, Europe & sometimes in USA too, they're struggling with the plants.

Thank you. That trimmer is stihls most heavy duty trimmers I believe. They can cut through thick stems/branches.

Doesn’t look like pruning or cutting back. The bushes were chopped off. Seemed like main point was an Ad for the clipper he used.

The hydrangea shouldn't be cut back until the flowers die in the fall. It looks more like a lilac??
@CBeason
@CBeason 5 месяцев назад
Yes that’s correct. That’s typically when I trim them back or before the spring growth starts.. it may have been a lilac.. I wasn’t really sure. The owner just wanted everything cut back a lot.. everything was just way overgrown

OMG. Horrible. It looks like you are fighting a battle by knocking everything down. How loveless. This has nothing to do with gardening. Look how deformed an dead all the bushes come out after your treatment. I am really shocked. 🙈🙈🙈😮😮 I´ve never seen something like that before.
@CBeason
@CBeason 5 месяцев назад
lol not sure if this is a serious reply. If you listened to the entire video now is the time to cut stuff way back. They will have an entire spring and summer to fill out.. they will not die, trust me I know what I’m doing .. been working in this industry for years.. appreciate your comment and thanks for watching!

Seriously. To the people watching. These were not overgrown bushes. Not even in the slightest. They grew to the size they were meant to grow. These were trees and bushes that were larger cultivars that were planted in areas that were too small. Except that red maple in the corner. Like why the heck did you scalp that. It was beautiful and had plenty of room. That could have been trimmed into a beautiful tree form. Not every tree and bush has to be trimmed down into a perfect square,rectangle or circle. Choose the plant for size and growth patterns instead of trying to force the plant to grow into an unnatural shape and size. Save yourself time and money. Choose better.
@CBeason

This was a rental property, the owner of the house wanted everything cut back and they definitely needed it.. now is the time to cut plants way back since they will have plenty of time to fill out. Also, that was a lorapellum not a red maple. Definitely needed a trim . They grow super fast as well. How can someone look at those bushes and say they couldn’t use a significant trim? Yes some probably weren’t planted in the right location. I agree with that..

Why have windows if your going to plant bushes in front of them. Let the sun shine in.

You’re just butchering those plants. Frankly some of the plants look like they’re struggling and need to come out and replaced. JMO I would be horrified if you did that to my plants.
@CBeason
@CBeason 5 месяцев назад
It’s not gonna hurt the plants , they can handle being cut back significantly this time of year and again they will fill/flush out with new growth later this Spring and throughout the summer…
