WedgePee I know it seems unlikely but John & Paul we’re close friends of TOC’s lead steel drum player and agreed to write them a song which, not surprisingly, went on to be their biggest hit
@@brianrafferty5617 Anyone have problems remembering the lyrics? McCartney and Lennon had nothing to do with the recording the tune is described o labeln the label as traditional and besides the song would have been released in the Apple label.
McCartney wrote the music for Mary Had A Little Lamb after two previous Wings songs were banned by the BBC and Paul Mc. released Mary etc as a protest as until 1974 only the BBC could legally broadcast music on it's radio stations. The banned songs related to drugs (Hi High Hi) and the Ulster troubles - even the titles were banned!
