Mark 6:1-6 For many faith systems Jesus is a prophet. For Christians he is more than that - he is God incarnate. But he is also a prophet in that he brings God's word to us. Not just that, he IS God's word sent to us. We can either refuse to believe that or we can receive him. Which is it to be? Recorded in St Martin's Church, Dorking because Jesus was in a formal place of worship!

I loved your reflection. It put more flesh on my own ponderings and with references to other scripture deepened my understanding. Particularly found it helpful to see how you explained that Jesus doesn’t impose action (miracles) on those with no faith. Something I hadn’t really considered before. Still chuckling over the Emilia Fox quote. Hope your day has gone well. A

Yes I found myself thrilled with the slightly new perspective on faith - not what but who did Jesus respond to. There's been such a load of tosh preached about faith - it was dubbed 'faith in faith' instead of 'faith in Jesus'! B
