Great flight experience! After all, despite the rather poor onboard experience (regarding the IFE system mostly...), you were lucky indeed to fly an A340 in 2022! :)

@@pilotyoussef It was so many years and flights ago I don't specifically remember too much other than seeing the pair of engines on the wing as I boarded and being somewhat surprised and saying to the flight attendant who greeted me "is this an A340???????" And it was. It would have been in Ottawa to clear a backlog of passengers for flights cancelled by storms - they often substitute a large plane when weather cancels or delays a bunch of Rapidair flights. I did have a good view of the wings onboard and of course took photos - I'm and avid though the window photographer!
Unfortunately I only had a overnight layover at Lisbon. I stayed at a hotel nearby the airport so I couldn’t do much exploring there but from what I heard Portugal is a relatively nicer place to visit and live! I’m sure it’s changed from the 90s too
