Fully agree how hard is it to be polite to someone who probably spend their day with a group of rude ignorant people. Politeness gets you a long way still.
Nice video Paul! Nice to see all those Airlines/routes that I don't think I'll ever take! When I sit in airports I always see plane companies and I wonder what it's like inside the aircraft and what routes they do/where they go!! Your channel helps this a lot!!
Hi Paul, i have been following some trip reporters lately and i must say : You are the best. No hyperactive reaction to everything and a good and honest report. Also : i love it that you do trips both on long haul first class and business class flights as the short haul 'simple' flights. I have already made some travel plans based on some of your reports! Both dream trips and trips all of us could enjoy :) Would be wonderfull if you could add some sightseeing as well in the cities you visit. Keep on tripping!
I have wondered, like many others I am sure how you maintain your work, passion for travelling and family life in balance. Its not easy I am sure. You do a great job in bringing out the best in travelling.
Wonderful trip report! Everytime I fly back to Hong Kong from Adelaide, Australia, it'd be a 6am flight. This means I have to wake up at 3am, and that's 12:30am at home 😝

Has the Swiss lounge in GVA been renovated/moved? It used to be a dark room looking like a basement somewhere. Kinda like it did on this video (but it used to be dark like that all day!)..
I'll never understand European business class. As someone who is 193 cm tall, I find the greatest luxury to be leg room, which US airlines provide in their domestic first class cabins. Great report, as always!
Another great trip! It always amazes me that on flights that don’t involve the UK at all, they still do English announcements! Oh, and if you ever get the chance, go to Ronda - it’s beautiful!
Just discovered you, brilliant all the way. Any thoughts on Iberia to South America, they did fly there way back. Birthday weekend or something haha. Format is perfect... stay with it.

Approximately how long does it take to set up all your video equipment for capture of the flights, once you’ve settled into your seat area? 2. Do other passengers inquire about your documentation of the flight, perhaps the flight crews when they see your cameras affixed to the window, etc.? Happy and safe travels till the next post! Thanks! 1) only a minute or so, I have basic equipment. 2) Never, really! Flight crew don’t see my camera fixed to the window as I put it up after they’ve taken their seats and remove it after takeoff.
Another great trip report. I love aviation but scared of flying. Watching these videos helps me overcome my fears. Do you travel to all these places for work, or just for the videos?
I live in Lausanne! Did you get up to much whilst you were around? Also funnily enough, I was in the Swiss Business Lounge on Sunday 18 March too (although that's just the posted date of the video, not necessarily when you were there).
I spent 2 weeks in Lausanne in 1999 on that train every day shuttling to and from Geneva as part of a wireless telephone tradeshow that happens every 4 years. I found the train extremely pleasant with a muffin and tea on the way in and a split of wine and a bread & cheese platter on the way back. I saw people frequently having shots of grappa at the station in the morning before the train so I decided to sample that bit of culture. I do NOT recommend it for Americans..! The grappa was delicious but I was fighting to stay awake the rest of the day. I wish I could commute by train for my work week - it's so much more civilized than driving in packed traffic for an hour or more. After the tradeshow was over and we had supervised the take-down of our booth, the wife and I spent a day in Bern where we ate roast chestnuts (the only time in my life), visited the bear pens and Einstein's flat where he developed Relativity, and I purchased the best half-kilo of Emmenthaller *ever* from a cart in the central square. It was homemade and just fabulous. We ate the whole thing on the train back to Lausanne along the shore of Lake Geneva with a bottle of wine and a baguette. What a day! The next day we took the TGV to Paris where we killed two more days in our friend and coworkers flat right on the edge of Pont Neuf a block away from Notre Dame.
When you started shouting into the the camera when that freight train appeared....made me LOL! And that bag of apple slices...my first thought there was McD's as well haha. How weird! I would have likes some nice cold meats from Iberia rather than that omelette and tomato slab....great stuff as always!
Leaving cold Geneva to an almost as cold Madrid ;) That's winter in central Spain for you. Could that unnamed airport in the Pyrenees be Lourdes-Tarbes? It's just a guess, but that seemed to have been under your route...
I remember taking this flight about 10 years ago. Back then it was still operated by an md80! I’ve always been wondering how the Swiss lounge was, as GVA is not considered as a hub by Swiss air lines and probably mainly used by business passengers of flight LX22.
Hi Paul I like your vídeos! Let me just explain why the fruit is in a bag, if none already replied: you took a plane that slept overnight in GVA. IAG group airlines don’t have catering outside their bases, which means that your breakfast was loaded on the plane on the last flight the night before your flight, and “slept” in it (perfectly preserved and chilled of course). That is why “first flight outside base” breakfasts are different. Speaking of IBERIA plain yoghurt with muesli is substituted by flavoured yoghurt and fresh fruit by a hot croissant :)

The fruit is in the bag in order to stop the oxidation process which would turn apple into a brown disgusting lump, the bag also means that apple isn't sliced on board rather prepared by a catering company pre-flight and then boarded on before departure

Mmmm... AFAIK, not all Airbus aircraft are delivered at Toulouse-Blagnac. A319s and A321s are delivered at Hamburg-Finkenwerder, where they are also assembled. Clients from Europe and the Middle East also take delivery of their A380s in Hamburg. There is also the Airbus plant in Tianjin, China, where all A320s ordered by Asia/Pacific clients are assembled and delivered, and soon there will also be A320s manufactured in Mobile, Alabama (which means there will soon be A320s as American as a 737). However, A320s proper ordered by Western airlines are indeed manufactured and delivered in Toulouse - even more so a 16-year-old one. So, it must have been interesting to overfly your plane's birthplace.

Is it midnight UK time? Prices seem to be up for September and that's when I want to catch a day trip to Paris from London. So I'll stay up late if I have to to take advantage of pricing. Any help? Usual high quality - pity about the weather - or was it just dirty windows? Never noticed it before, but there seems to be quite a gradient between the front of the parked planes and the rear of them. Is it just an optical illusion?

Paul, I really enjoyed the video.Your comment about the "European Business Class" the rows with the middle seat blocked.It's a kind of cheating of most of the airlines.They sell you a service as If it was a different seat than in Economy Class.Some A320 used to have 2 big seats together but I think that is a trend in companies nowadays.Good Flights!
