First, the obvious: flying from DUB to ORD via IST is a bit whacked, Turkoflot or not. Second, I wouldn't expect much in terms of hot food options in a lounge during the overnight hours.

The cheapest way to book this flight was to book it out of Dublin or Stockholm. Since Dublin was easier to get to from my cruise, the fact it was on the A330 vs an A321 and also I got more miles since Dublin is further from Istanbul than Stockholm. I did expect a bit more from the lounge considering it’s a full on 24/7 operation and their competition offers a full buffet 24/7

Going 6 minutes from exiting the aircraft to being landslide at ORD is pretty good for arriving on an international flight, sound like you landed at a perfect time!

Great review, Zach! TK were lucky to get this hard product. Just a few quick notes: - It would've been nice for you to show the seat you slept in in the lounge so that viewers can get a feel whether it's an acceptable substitute for a hotel. Glad it was comfortable. - Damn that's an early departure! I guess it depends on where most of their connections are from. From what I recall their IAD flight is pretty late. - No WiFi? - I have a soft spot for watermelon and feta as it was my grandpa's favourite. He was in fact born and raised in Istanbul, but he was an ethnic Greek who moved to Greece after WWI.

Thanks! It was really awkward to film in the corner where the sleeping chairs are but I found it to be more than fine to take a nap in. There’s a lot of inbound connections from Asia and Africa while there is endless connectivity onto United in Chicago with that morning arrival. I thought I mentioned it but if I didn’t, there is free high speed WiFi available for business class passengers, which worked well. Thanks for watching!

The lounge really is a hit or a miss. The first time we came, the food selections were amazing but the second very few options.

Just about where I came from, my final destination, and they just went through my passport stamps. Since I arrived from a low risk destination and just transited, it wasn’t as much as people who originated in Turkey or some other countries.
