Oh, I miss the place already. Went there back in 2017 and it is wonderful. Though you have to pay entrance fee to the old city. It is totally worth it cos it is really clean and the public bathrooms are the best compared to others in China.

Are there hotels we can stay in in the old town and any idea how much they might cost? approximately..?

I can see how lijiang resembles kyoto- however, japanese architecture was heavily influenced by chinese architecture lol

Because having a totally different contrast in comparison is more Interesting. An old traditional Chinese town vs a modern metropolis with an European feel. I think it's good way to do a versus.
