The mine tour at the llechwedd is very informative and covers a lot of how the miners extracted the slate the guided tour is great and it has the steepest working mine train on the exit out of the mine.
@@Olminer66 I was chatting with the owner some years ago, and he offered to let us look, but told us, what you see is pretty much it, only one tunnel goes any distance and ends at a collapse, the bit across the chamber ends almost immediately round the corner.
