+Inseagan hi Andy i still like to drive to the UK but it is those ferrys and the traffic in the south east that i begin to hate i still wait for a trip to Cumbria or Scotland...it should be more interesting than a Southall Leicester or a Kent express with 2 ferry the same day Sugar in some factories ,you have nothing on the top ,but there are some factories with a bad anti dust system and it is always when the tank is still wet with the morning humidity that you have to load there....-)) have a good weekend Andy Pat

+Thomas Barath thanks for your comment Thomas....it is the same for me ,i have always dreamed to drive on the other side of the Atlantic or in Australia....Europe is not bad ,we just have shorter trucks but heavier, the lenght is just due to the roads that we have in Europe...if you come here with a conventional truck and a 53"with axles at the back ,at the first round about you will be bloked and you will never find a place to park your truck....haha for the illegals it comes worst than worst on each port ....they think that in the UK it is better....but the UK dont want them.....the day that will know the reality they will look for another country....i hope...-))

+7784Patrick Wittezaele Thank you Patrick. Yeah everything is ok and i have a lot of fun it's my dream which came true now. My boss told me that i can start with CE in January ! . We are always 2 weeks in the company ( in the garage to repair trucks, or in the warehouse to load trucks, and we are a lot on the road with different drivers. sometimes its difficult because we have one driver and nobody like him and they put me 3 times to him LOL . And after 2 weeks in the company we are 1 week at school . In the school we learn all the theoretically stuff . Have a great weekend too my friend!

+Paul K. for the consumption at 85 kph 3 liters for 100kms less than the euro5....and for the weight a tractor unit with a MX13 is 200kg heavyer than with a MX11 .......and surely for the price too......big company who buy 100 tractor units a year.....i dont know the price exactly but if it is only 2000 euro they have 2 trucks for free.....have a good week

+Thomas K. yes i am......for the truck......but the engine is too small to drive at 40 44 tons.....it is a good engine for loads of 15 20 tons.....drive at 30 35 tons.....for the roads that we do.....i can say that is a good truck for the flat countries if you use it heavy

+James Whyte thanks for your comment it is because in a lot of country 5 axles are enough for 40 or 44 tonnes.....in the company that i work we have 3 axles tractor units but they are just for the UK traffic.....with a 2 axles we are too 1 lighter.......for the non uk traffic i can load 1 tonne more At the Sitra company there are 80% of 2 axles tractor units

Hi Don thanks for your comment question of confort it is true that our volume into the cab is smaller....but the disign is not bad and the confort of drive is better..we have a better view of the road ....but not so safe in case of accident...the engine is not in the front. Question of engine ,we have same power and some like the big Volvo or Scania have more power and torque than the american one we are just heavy here it is between 40 ,44,50 and 60 tonne on the floor not 38 like in America the cab over here are a question of length...a semi truck is a maximum of 16.5 metres with a trailer of 13.5 m ....like this you have only 3 metres for the cab.....i know some drivers who have american or conventional trucks,they have 2 kinds of problems the first is with the police in some of the european states and the second is to drive on some roads of to enter in some factories,all is made for trucks of 16.5 for artics or 18m. for lorry and trailer....and nothing for the 21 or 22 metres.......even that in europe with have some eurocompbis of 25metres but those trucks are not build like a conventional truck

Hi Pat! Thanks for your answer. Our trailers are adjustable for length (trailer wheelbase). The axles slide back and forward to even the weight. Why are your Euro trailers fixed axles? You cannot adjust them for weight distribution.

front axle is 7 tons rear axles of the tractor unit is 13 tons and you can have a small one of 4 tons extra and 3 of the trailer are of 9tons.....if you count it can be 47 or 51 tons for a truck of 44 tons .....if you dont load to much in the front of the trailer the weight is always ok by axle .....

Here in the US the authorities weigh your truck on scales to see if weight is proper on the axles.Some states require different loading.

@@donberg01 As Pat explained, load distribution on 2axle-tractor-3-axle-trailor-combinations is much easier compared with North America (don't forget Canada), and no trailor-axle- and sometimes even fifth-wheel-sliding is required. Equipment in the U.S. is very outdated, e.g., what a lot of time consuming tarp jobs on low beds and rngs they wouldn't have to do if they had modern curtain-trailors. LOL. On the other hand, in European trucks space in the cab is really very small, I feel sorry for the Eastern European drivers, who live in their trucks for months until they can return to their home for a holiday.
