What the hell is the first one though? I've never played Mass Effect and certainly never seen that suit before. Looks like Shepard's wearing the shell of some big alien bug he killed.
Eh, with the right color pallette and default Broshep's jawline, it can look fairly decent. Nowhere near as good as most other helmets though. Better than the Capacitor helmet at least
I think it's one of the best helmets when it comes to stats. Also the one in the video looks worse because of the weird color pallete and Shepard's weird face/jawline
I've played this game so many times, but yesterday I finished the legendary edition of me2. My shep was renegade and I didn't romance anyone in me1. I couldn't hit the paragon quick times because I'm renegade until the day I die! It really seemed like T'soni was in love with Shepard though. Like, without me doing any flirting or anything. She's the only one Shepard hugs with no previous romance involved. She's so clearly who the game wants you with.
Its pretty unanimously agreed that Liara is the "canonical" romance of the series. She's the only character you can romance or re-affirm romance with (thanks to Shadow Broker) in all three games, and she's also the only one you don't really need to go that far out of your way to pursue. ME1 romances are practically handed to you on a silver platter, and all the other romance candidates are either middling or can outright die (ME2 suicide mission, in ME3 Miranda and Tali can die in their missions, Kaiden/Ashley can die from the Citadel attack, etc), but Liara is 100% guaranteed to survive and be present for all three games. The only other characters that come close to her are Garrus and Tali, which can be recruited and hint towards having "liked" you in ME1, but unlike Liara, who is mandatory and will always be added to your crew, you can actually just COMPLETELY miss and never recruit Garrus or Tali in ME1. They aren't required to beat the game. Tali especially, considering you need to complete an entire Citadel sidequest AND pick the right dialogue options to recruit her. Obviously no Mass Effect fan would forget to do this, but a casual first-time player absolutely could. (James also can't die but he's only in one game.)
@@OGXenos Tali is mandatory in Mass Effect 1. Wrex and Garrus are not. You recruit Tali in the main quest (not sidequest) when getting evidence against Saren and if you try to not recruit her, Anderson and Udina force you.
I never thought, that that's types of conversation generally exist. If I romancing Liara, I romansing her until ME 3 end! This isn't a type of woman I want to abandon
Shepard: I came back!!! Liara: Yes, you came back! And now you're itching to get under Tali's helmet! Shepard: That's not fair! I've been wanting to get in there since Mass Effect 1, and honestly no "just" the helmet!!
Who wouldn’t be wishing to get under Tali’s helmet (assuming you take appropriate measures to make sure she doesn’t get sick due to her really weak immune system)
>After leaving Omega, I came to Illium to find Liara >My ME1 ported save had Liara as a romantic partner >I ask her to come back >"Sorry, I'm busy. New job and new commitments" >... >Welp, that's over, time to bang someone else then. P.S at the end of the Shadow Broker DLC, there is an alternate ending to that, so that's fair the devs put that in.
The funny thing is Miranda's uniform isn't intentionally sexual, really, shes just one of the few women filled out in the mass effect universe. Now Samara's outfit on the other hand...One wonders which Asari designed that.
This is the same organization that plants fake distress beacons in Thresher Maw nests, does experiments on Reaper technology, plants that release spores that make them zombies, and kidnap biotic children, proceeding to torture then for *years* just to see what would happen. Workplace comfort is the furthest thing from their mind.
@@kinglattice705 she's just jealous, blowing off steam, if you romanced liara in ME1 and Tali on ME2 and ME3, liara actually wishes tali and shepard to be happy unlike other love interests.
Funny thing is you can actually bang Jack even when you're romancing any side character. It happened to me when Miranda was my main romance after Liara in 1.
“Yes you came back, and now I’ve been tossed aside for a tattooed woman with anger issues.” “And now you’re just itching to get under Tali’s helmet.” “And now you’d rather pass time with Mrs. Lawson and her low-cut jumpsuit!”
The way he says "I came back" sounds pretty offensive, as he was forcing her to come back to him😅 I romanced Liara and always stayed faithful, it really sounded weird when I first heard that line.
Tali is cute and has the buildup of romance. Liara is just... a very grey vanilla romance option by comparison. Add to the writing, the fact that she is an asari (the lore behind them, their beauty, and the fact that they're obviously made as "the sexy species".@@sinu9226
Things i've learned: 1. Liara glad Shepard is here 2. She might be worried about some terminals to hack 3. Shepard was dead and then came back 4. That's not fair.
Y'know Liara, maybe if *you* wore a low cut jumpsuit and weren't all up on your "I'm so shady and powerful and darkweb" you wouldn't be having this issue in the first place?
I've played a LOT of different forms this game, paragon, renegade, BroShep, FemShep, hybrid, sniper, biotic, etc. I can say that Tali romance still the best of all, by far. The only ones that could get close is Liara and Traynor.
I like how her romance path was so forced into the player on the first game that they had to hold her back turning her into a bitchy, jealous, confused and uninterested ex for the entirety of ME2
@@KopperNeoman nah bro the most forced romance is Liara and Jack. As Male Shepard it's impossible to talk to Jack without her bringing up sex bc she assumes Shepard just wants to smash. Liara will treat you like her Husband even if you treat her like absolute garbage throughout the entire Trilogy or even if you romanced someone else. Especially Priority Earth when she takes you into her mind for the last time.
@@KopperNeomanlol yeah Kaidan would not quit. Before locking in my ME3 romance with Liara he confessed feelings for my FemShep. Like c’mon dude I said no in ME1, picked Liara twice, *and* reaffirmed our relationship on Mars.
playing a faithful shepard, for a moment I was wondering if we were going for a love triangle situation with liara being much more concern with rescuing that drell over the relation between her and shepard.
I love how Shepard is wearing an helmet when he confronts Liara. He knows he's going to crack and cry so he's covering his face. Jokes aside, I had a hard time liking Liara right off the bat when I found her again in ME2. In my opinion, she turned into a control freak, which is why she was so eager to become the Shadow Broker. If you read intel files she gathered, you realize she has no problems with digging in other people's privacy even if it has nothing to do with the mission. She is most especially picky when it comes to the other women on board. They say Liara matured between ME1 and 2 but IMO she still had a long way to go. When you are a control freak, you are still immature. Most of the women on the Normandy were immature when compared to the men NPCs. I thought the most mature of all was Jack. She acted tough and "sounded" immature because it was her defense mechanism that kept her away from developing relationships. That was due to her having a long series of social failures, and of course the fact that she was born and raised in a horrible environment. Due to her life experience, she easily pinpoints hypocrisy and many other flaws in others, even you. And she doesn't have to rely on spies and hidden cameras to do that, unlike Liara.
Only went after Liara in ME1 Cause Tali was unavailable and underaged in the first game, in that ORDER. She was a better choice than the Racist, despite them toning that aspect down in the later games I never found out cause for me Ashley was DEAD in ME2 and ME3, so she'll always be the 'Humans first, last and always' she was to me in ME1 so no regrets leaving her to boom boom on Virmire. Liara was... Interesting, loyal to a fault, and never stopped loving you, but stopped BEING in love with you by the time ME2 comes about, I'm grateful to her always for everything she does for you, but her love always felt more like falling for a Research Subject, than falling for a person. Tali and Garrus, they're the only one's to stick by your side in EVERY GAME, well and Joker. Male Shep should have gotten Tali retired on Rannoch and adopted some War Orphans, Uncle Garrus comes to visit once a Month and tell embarrassing stories to the Kids.
Agreed except for the racist Ashley part. I never saw that in her character. But yeah Tali and Garrus were the two real romance options. Both were so loyal and such good friends.
@@StillGotShit4Brains Nah. This is just what happens when being an internet reactionary and edgelord completely replaces any semblance of your identity.
@IceCola I think that you can't accept the fact, some people doesn't like what you like. I am a man in his 40's, who plays very rarely, like one game in a year. And I want something good. I have a job and it is me, not you who will spend money on a product called video game. Believe me that I can live without them. WHy? Becasue it's just a stupid game. And I consider gaydromeda being not even a cheap replacement for what really entertaining game is like. And one that is also infected with cancer called lgbt ideology. We just have different backgounds, needs and tastes. I hope my statement is clear. You don't have to agree with it, but at least you can try to accept it with dignity that I have my own opinion. Cheers.
This points to the annoyance of how you cannot rekindle your romances from Mass Effect 1. So if you wanted the paramour achievement in both games you have to do this and that frustrates me.
