I like to imagine that this is the canonical of what happened, just minus the racing them bit Silver Sonic was made first as a prototype to test if a Robot Sonic could even be built. Mecha in Sonic 3 was testing if a slimmer, but bulky design could harness the chaos/master emerald’s power And Metal was built to test if a robot could match Sonic’s speed and personality.
@@Jesus-jb4zz The little planet was over Never lake for a little time and Eggman can repair or build his machines very fast, because after the death egg crashed on Angel Island (after and before launch base), while sonic was going to lava reef zone, he repaired it quickly, the zone backgrounds can tell that sonic 3&k (sonic story) happend in 2-3 days. Metal sonic was made before sonic arrived, because his holograms were in past. If i was Eggman i would make a rival to my worst enemy before he arrives and crashes everything and run some tests. The whole thing is happening in present, because you play most of zones in present and only last act in future. Sonic goes to future to find eggman and destroy his machines.
I've always seen mecha sonic as being more terminator inspired tbh, and the silver sonic design is probably based on the weird western mohawk design of classic sonic (the worst)
Let's be honest I think we all knew Metal Sonic was going to win. He was designed for speed and to learn from his enemies. Edit: an idea I had was that mecha sonic could be the badass soldier used by Eggman in most games, and that metal sonic would be lying in wait over his next move. Although another option is to make the two of them like partners working under Eggman (if you have to keep metal under eggman). In sonic adventure there were two robots on Eggman ship, one was metal sonic, and the other was later confirmed to be mecha sonic in the comics. If they were in Sonic Heroes I imagined that metal Sonic would still do what he does but Mecha Sonic would be reprogramed by him to work Underneath Him. Then after they lose Eggman would reprogram the both of them to be loyal to him and so he would have Mecha and metal by his side. Then maybe in the battle for Angel Island IDW Story mecha and metal could both have Neo forms, although that would admittedly be a little harder to write in. I think Sega just needs to find a way to use both of them in a way that defines power and speed. Metal Sonic is powerful but he's more faster than he is powerful, fittingly Mecha Sonic could be more powerful than he is fast. I know that's a lot like silver sonic but there's no reason both of them can be fast or capable of spin dashing and using the rockets on their feet to some extent. In other words Mecha Sonic is still fast and athletic but he's loaded with more weapons and tougher armor , while Metal Sonic is faster in flight and has electric field build up and Crystal missiles (sonic heroes). Essentially they would be like a Sonic and Knuckles dynamic, both are athletic and quick to some extent but once focus is power and the others is speed
from my knowledge, Metal was meant to be a copy of sonic, made to out do sonic in his field, being speed. Silver Sonic was supposed to be a bulky tanky sorta Guard to the Death Egg, meant to defend Robotnik and distract Sonic while Robotnik preps the Death Egg Robot. While Mecha Sonic is meant to be a direct upgrade to Silver Sonic, he is tankier than Silver Sonic, being able to fight both Sonic and then Knuckles before being destroyed and he also has better AI than Silver Sonic making him able to pilot Robotnik's "Egg-O-Matic" as well as use the machinery that can connect to the Egg-O-Matic. When it comes to the retro games, Mecha is superior in all fields except Movement Speed and Processing Speed, which is Metal's expertise. so yeah Metal should be able to win in a race while Mecha would win in a fight. But when it comes to the modern series, of course Metal will no doubt win in both a fight and a race, due to how more powerful Metal has become and how Mecha has not made any new appearances.

@@theprincemonster7575 Kinda depends on the interpretation. He was certainly aiming for Knuckles, but I think that he didn't really care if he hurt Eggrobo or not, since he ignores his partner's death completely.
1:18 and beyond reminds me of Wacky Races. He's going so fast that if he just kept going normally he would easily win, but he still turns around to sabotage the guy way behind him

@@_Dollin the japanese manual is canon and calls the robot sonic in sonic 2 genesis (Mecha Sonic) For the one in master system/game gear that robot sonic is known as silver sonic also in the comics which ISN’t canon calls the mecha sonic SILVER SONIC also lego dimensions which ISN’T canon give the robot sonic from genesis a whole new name called (Robo Sonic) So Mecha Sonic Is The Canon Name.

Its just due to the fact he was always promoted in comercials and more people knew him that lead to his popularity not an in universe logic. @knuckson8304 The other badnicks are just grunts, they only mean anything in large numbers, Metal isn't that. Also current Metal is waaaay above wall, considering it can take hits from Sonic.

You know what other robots took several hits to be defeated? Silver and Mecha sonic in their first appaance alone where Silver Sonic could one shot Ssonic mind you, You people always bring up how he comes back yet seem to forget people like Zavok do too as If that means anything, If the badniks from sonic 1 come back considered "his strongest mech" then metal coming back doesnt mean anything either. Sonic literally had to run away from the number of badniks in lost world so I guess 14 badniks > Metal Sonic then Way above wall level? Yeah I dont think so considering we see him losing to one several other times, he did take a few hits from sonic in generations tho, but he also managed to beat perfect chaos in base so in that game power never made sense. He does get a few more attacks over time but like... he is still slower than knuckles in a game about racing so I dont think he has been improved that much considering the only time when he was a threat was in Sonic heroes where he stole everyones powers. Come to think of it, Can metal even keep up with sonic boosting? He is outdated. Only games where sonic can boost and he races metal is rivals in which even knuckles is faster than metal and I dont even think Forces counts as he doesnt really try to race and even the avatar can do th boost and run on nothing (null void) Also If you think normal metal can be faster than even a super form (super mecha) idk what to tll you, It might not be fair but hey, when metal did get metal overlord hee didnt seem fast while Mecha had the jet thing
@@annoying_HK_guy Actually, they weren't. CD takes place before 2 (apparently), so Metal Sonic was technically Eggman's first attempt at a robot Sonic. I guess the reason he kept coming back was because out of all the models, his was more in line with the real Sonic and thus had the most potential for upgrades. I can only assume Silver Sonic and Mecha Sonic didn't have as much effort put into them compared to Metal Sonic. Silver was probably made as a quick distraction for Sonic getting on the Death Egg and Mecha was the same for preventing Sonic from boarding the Death Egg a second time.
Rose Supreme actualy he did made silver sonic diferent because he wated to make a robot to be strong not fast and i actualy think that mecha is stonger than metal and have still the same speed. And i think he is a neo metal sonic prototype because of how they look
Considering that Silver Sonic doesn't even have a consistent naming and is often confused with the 8 bit Silver Sonic...not to mention lacks a personality, he's not anything special. Mecha Sonic is pretty cool but mostly is remembered because of SMBZ. Otherwise he is a backstabbing traitor, having no quarrels with killing Eggrobo, or at least lacking any sense of guilt. Metal Sonic is an emotional wreck and deserves hugs. He already let himself die once before so he kinda deserved the win.
Cool animation. I personally would have had the Sonic & Knuckles mecha-sonic win though, because it was the newest model and because it looks the most bad-ass. Although there's no denying Sega likes to reference the CD model the most, I think most fans like the S&K one.
No Metal was the FINAL design and clearly the most advanced out of the 3 ! Coz Metal is the one that actually matched Sonic's speed. And Metal is actually stronger than the other 2, your judgement is biased.

Yeah, well until in the Sonic IDW Comics, he has been able to go in his Super form as Neo Metal Sonic(otherwise Super Neo Metal Sonic), before going to his Master Overlord form when he copied Sonic and Shadow's Biodata.

@@James179 Metal should win at races as he is designed for speed as seen with his movement method being a rocket and the others being wheels. But, if it has 1v1 combat, mecha sonic completely destroys the other 2 by a wide margin as he has a spin dash ,he can shoot energy from his chest and can absorb chaos energy making him complete invincible even without cause energy he is very strong seen as in sonic 3 and knuckles he took around 30 hits from sonic and knuckles between both stories.
So i guess the story of this is eggman decided to revive silver and mecha sonic and he made them do a race against metal sonic to see who's the better robot
Metal Sonic can learn his enemy's and others' skills, abilitys, speeds and after just use it and Metal was race with Sonic once and he know now hlw much speed he needs, also because of this he can win easily a race or a battle
Is not a lie, Metal is better than Meca(Silver) and Mecha Sonic. Saying "But Mecha Sonic can go super" means nothing to me. Metal could transform into Metal Overlord by himself without any chaos emeralds
I mean, that would be what would happen. Silver Sonic and Mecha Sonic were both made more for combat rather than speed. Metal Sonic was basically made to surpass Sonic in every way, which includes being built for speed. Of course, it is questionable if Mecha Sonic would be able to beat Metal Sonic in a fight, considering how similar to Sonic Metal Sonic is. Of course, Metal Sonic would be able to beat Silver Sonic easily, though.

This is awessome but could be better if u added silver sonic's flying ability. He is not a noob when u think he has a powerful fly ability. He is heavy and the most strong copy of sonic and he can fly with the rockets under his feet and the rockets at his arms make him powerful at flying. İf you think about this and do not forget he can throw metal spikes every where, you can understand he is as good as others
