Very in depth review per usual. I'm borrowing my friends summit and even with a 6 plus inch pin to PAP this ball is still a monster. I see Duo being niche on short patterns. Summit fresh ball for high Rev or Rev dominant players. ZGL looks like a house shot killer or sport transition ball 2nd or 3rd out of the bag.

Probably the RIP, the MM is a stronger ball than it should be and isn't what I'd call a burn ball.

Yeah, very close. It's a couple boards stronger, a little earlier, and it covers boards better.

So with the Duo and Gold label being compliments, which one would you bring out first and which would you transition to?

It's all situational, so it's hard to say. If I need more shape, I'd go Duo, and if I need more stability, I'd go Gold Label

@@LukeRosdahl Another question if you don’t mind. Right now I have a Summit, Absolute, Xponent, Gold Label, Ruby. What would fit between the Xponent and gold Label that would give me more shape downlane? I know you said the Duo is weaker but could that still fit that gap due to the cover?

@@theswaveegod There's not a whole lot that goes there, pretty tight gap to shoot, but I think the Journey actually would be the one. Not quite as strong as the Gold Label, definitely longer and sharper

Great video. My Zen Gold Label is being drilled right now, can't wait to go get it. I'm left handed and a senior and have been fortunate enough to have retained my speed and rev rate up. I want to bowl more senior and over/under tournaments this year. My arsenal is getting old and worn. I don't have a newer heavy oil ball since it hasn't been a priority and my P2 just got a chunk knocked out of it right on the track. I'm trying to decide between the Summit and the Exponent to drill next, what would you recommend?

The Summit is definitely more of a heavy oil ball so that's the direction I'd go there for sure.

@@LukeRosdahl Just got back from throwing my first 3 games with the Gold Label and am very happy with the reaction. Very clean through the front and strong and continuous in the back end. Stay up the back of the ball and it's controllable, move in and wheel it and it opens up the lane. Left a few more 7 pins than I like but I think it's due to the Reacta Shine. Need to fix that!

That Gold Label just looks ridiculous for you! Currently my burn ball is my Hy-Road pearl, would the Gold Label fit between my OG Zen and Hy-Road Pearl? Thanks bud!!

Nah, the Gold Label is virtually on top of the OG Zen from a hook potential standpoint, they're just different shapes, you'd have to get like an IQ Ruby to fit between the Zen and HRP

Luke no question your the best Thank you ! Question I started to rebuild my house arsenal with the Summit, Exotic Gem and Duo. Will the Gold Label and Xponent both fit well and if so what is a good low end ball to add to round out the arsenal. Just now I’m a lower speed bowler

There's overlap with all 3 of the Summit, Duo, and Gold Label, but the Xponent will definitely fit in there. I'd think about adding an IQ Ruby to fit under your Duo next to your Xponent tho

With leagues approaching i am getting back into bowling after some time off. I think after watching many of your videos I will go with the Gold label, The duo, and the Hustle M&M as my 3 ball line up. What do you think ? :)

Sounds pretty ok for just leagues, I'd say you might want a little surface on the Gold Label or Duo to differentiate them a little more, but I think you'll have a few bases covered there

I'd actually recommend keeping the Gold Label and getting something other than the Duo, because it and the MM are virtually the same ball, the MM is just a little weaker, you'd have a little more diversity of reaction if you went MM, Gold Label, and then something like a Clone, Phaze 2, or Eternity.

I am thinking about building my bag with the Xponent, ZGL and a Asym Pearl like the Eternity or exotic gem. Do you think there’s enough compliment there?🤔

Yeah I do, the flexibility with either the Eternity and Exotic to leave them shiny OR add surface if you need teeth is probably the best part. The XP and ZGL are super solid benchmark type looks that will cover a lot of ground

Do you think there's enough of a difference between the Cosmos and Summit to be able to run them as complements or would there be too much overlap?

They're pretty similar, but the Summit has jumped into my bag lately and the Cosmos is always in the conversation, so I'm going to put them both in the bag for league Thursday and see. They're somewhat similar, but I don't know if they're TOO similar.

Yeah exactly, it's really strong and blendy so it's going to roll early enough to be able to get back from outside, but be smooth enough to help hold on misses in.

If you had to pair the Duo or Zen Gold Label with the TNT, which one would it be? Or would some other symmetric pearl from the SPI catalogue fit better?

Either one really, they're of similar strength, just will be a shape complement.

If the ZGL cover is close to the REX.... would this ball replace a Fate, Night Road or even a Dark Code? I have those three and was trying to justify a ZGL.

It's virtually identical to the Dark. Dark rolls earlier and is smoother, but I'd have trouble telling them apart realistically

Why would the sym roll earlier? Asyms are build specifically to add core torque and make them stronger.

Yeah, I mentioned that towards the end of the video, those two of the 3 have the most separation. The Summit is the earlier smoother one and the Duo is longer with more shape.

The Summit hooks a lot, so even though the two balls fit together, it may not fit for your game to begin with. It all boils down to your specific situation, you'll have to throw them and find out. Not knowing the conditions or how you throw the ball, can't really say what you should do.

I agree. If I throw faster than 15mph with my Duo, it won't have enough time to get into the proper roll phase to get through the pins properly. Same goes with my Phaze 2, but I can go 17mph with the Pitch Black no problem.

Eh, the 2 and 3 are both sharper, but as far as raw traction, the Summit has it. From an aggregate overall ball motion, the Phaze 2 produces nearly as much traction but more shape, so yeah I'd say it presents stronger than the Summit at least.
