Exactly that’s why I listen to girl groups more than boy groups in K-Pop, most people think it’s cause I’m a guy and attracted to them yeah they’re beautiful but that’s not why I love girl group more, in my opinion I feel like girl groups all sound different, most boy groups I feel like sound the same like their voices all sound similar and even their songs sound the same to me but girl groups are diverse and have variety in their voices and sound and experimenting new sounds and styles
Beam and colorful give me Loona vibes at points and it makes me SO happy that tripleS are like carrying the torch for that electro and beautiful vocal sound!!
yep heard a snippet of colorful before the cb and was immediately taken back to debut loona, like their vocals on the chorus reminds me of them so much, i can't help but tear up every time i hear it. there's such a special feeling attached to this sound. i really feel you fifi 😭😭😭
It’s hard for everyone saying goodbye to this group, it made me cry too. Especially because after [XX] and the loss of Jaden Jeong as a creative director, the hope of hearing this type of sound back was disappearing slowly, and more than ever now that the moon girls are on the edge of disbandment. Seeing Jaden Jeong releasing his own group made me hope a little bit again. Then AAA debuted. The way it was done, the subunit, the mini album, it really felt familiar with the way LOONA was directed back then, and the sound too although the concept of this subunit was a bit different… But this, especially Colorful, if I close my eyes I can imagine LOONA members singing each part of this song vividly, like the song was almost made for them (or is it only almost?). I’m so happy that we will have a lot more music coming with this style, and even if I’ll Stan TripleS now, I’ll never forget what LOONA was back then.
i wasnt a loona stan and i got into kpop pretty late. though ive always seen people hype up loona, i have never found the timing to check their earlier music and never got to know what the hype was all about. i kinda understand the feeling now though, especially that people are saying tripleS sound so much like early loona. it's the same as how i feel listening to tripleS - "the whole world should be listening to this group's music, why aren't they?". it's just... too good, TOO GOOD. idk how to explain it better but their music kinds of transports you to a different dimension and allow your imaginations to run wild? it's dreamy and nostalgic? it's all sorts - and it's because their instrumentals are godly with the vocals and melody perfectly harmonizing with it. it's just too good. idk what kind of person jaden jeong is but im thankful he produced another group to let me experience this myself. i want to ask for recommendations of loona music that's kind of like these. ive saved some of their music but it's a few and some are from their newer ones.
@@goodietwoshoes7238 lol not sure if you've listened to any in your spare time since but here's some from early Loona. Egoist, Colors, Satellite, Sweet Crazy Love, love4eva, New, Girl Front, Loonatic, Eclipse, One and Only, Singing in the rain Odd Eye Circle (one of Loona's subunits) is also redebuting under Modhaus soon, no doubt bringing another era of quality music
As someone who’s been stanning LOONA since pre-debut and witnessed their sound change in real time, I understand the bittersweetness all too well. I’m so glad tripleS are bringing back the music quality I’ve been missing since 2019 but at the same time my heart hurts so much for LOONA and their current state. I just hope they’re all able to break free from BBC and continue fighting for what they deserve 😭 Fun fact: Beam and New Look were part of an 8 song tournament, along with Rising, where fans voted for this album’s title track last December! All we had were demo snippets to work with but the fandom ultimately made the right choice 😌
tripleS is a 24 member girl group under MODHAUS. So far, only 12 have been revealed: S1: Yoon SeoYeon (03) S2: Jeong HyeRin (07) S3: Lee JiWoo (05; My Teenage Girl contestant) S4: Kim ChaeYeon (04; former Busters member) S5: Kim YooYeon (01; My Teenage Girl finalist) S6: Kim SooMin (07) S7: Kim NaKyoung (02; soloist BIBI's sister) S8: Gong YuBin (05) S9: Kaede (05) S10: Seo DaHyun (03) S11: Kotone (04; Girls Planet 999 contestant) S12: Kwak YeonJi (08) They'll mostly work on subunits, those subunits are temporary and rotatory, that means a subunit will only last for a comeback and after that they'll be in a indefinite hiatus (NOT disbanding, since they'll be able to regroup and release music again in the future) unless they reach a goal (100k sales, it's high, we know, but it's set that high on purpose so the girls can keep mix & matching between subunits). However, at the start of a new year, we'll have a full group comeback (this time it's not full as only 10 members participated in it, but they were the only ones revealed back when it was announced). Their subunits so far are: -Acid Angel from Asia: debuted October 28th with the mini album [ACCESS] with members Kim YooYeon, Kim NaKyoung, Gong YuBin & Jeong HyeRin. -+(KR)ystal Eyes: unknown debut date, probably in May/June, with members Yoon SeoYeon, Kim ChaeYeon, Lee JiWoo & Kim SooMin. The subunits were decided via voting in their app "cosmo" in the GRAVITY. Next GRAVITY will happen after S16 is revealed and members from S9 to S16 will participate (Kaede & Seo DaHyun, who are participating in this debut, and Kotone & Kwak YeonJi, who are currently promoting in Japan + 4 more members). This GRAVITY will create 2 more subunits with the same concept (temporary & rotatory). "Dimension" is the group's song, as all subunits (and probably the OT24 debut, too) will have a version of it, +(KR)ystal Eyes performed their version today at PRE-CON, a short concert they did today to promote the debut.
jaw absolutely DROPPED when that chorus hit in rising. this whole album is such a masterpiece & im so glad triple s is bringing this sound i’ve been missing in kpop
If you felt LOONA in colorful that's because of Jaden Jeong fingerprint. As simple as it is, hate him or like him, he made both group and is quite clever about groups concept and music direction. He always worked with digepedi mostly and monotree for his concepts since Ladies Code (my ult group).
i heard more loona than new jeans but the styling you could say was more new jeans but I loved this whole album! been following these girls since pre debut I can't wait for more sub units to come out from them! also the rapper is called naky (she's bibi's younger sister)
@@fifizappareacts Thats because Monotree who produced a lot of Loona's songs produced most of this album too. And they have the more members being added just like Loona.
When I heard Bibi little sister is in this group I was like I gotta check them out. Then Acid Angels dropped and I was obsessed so I got really excited for this debut. And boy did they not disappoint!!!!! I love it!!!!
Colourful really hit me in the feels cause it's so remisiscent of our girl's earlier stuff. It's been on repeat all day and I'm just imagining the members singing those parts. Then i rewatched the Rising MV and saw it was THE rooftop from egoist and i have't recovered since. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the rest of the album and for the rest of your reactions for the great stuff this week! Keep up the great work
fifi!!!! Jaden Jeong has signed the Loona members who are currently free from bbc (heejin, kim lip, jinsoul and choerry) to his new label. He said they won't be joining tripleS and he's currently trying to trade mark 'Odd Eye Circle'. they are already working on new music!!! At the end of his interview he was asked about the other members and he just said 'Loona as a whole shine the brightest'. ALSO he did mention about the possibility of releasing loona the ballad.
I had the exact same reactions to Beam and Colorful, both were giving me strong vibes from pre-debut it was insane. I spent so many years trying to accept that sound was gone forever and to think once I was finally past it it all, he brought it back just to hit us the feels like a speeding truck lol
only finished the first four songs so far, but i feel like my DNA and life path has been altered by this. like my DESTINY just changed after listening. this may be my favorite kpop mini album of ALL TIME 😭😭😭 i haven't been this gobsmacked since i went through [redacted]'s discog (censored the group since i assume that's the one you didn't want to name). currently disintegrating
Of course tripleS will reminds you with that group, cuz they have same producer & creative director. tripleS's producer & creative director is same with that group's producer & creative director during that group predebut era until 🦋 era
omg they are so good! I love the feeling of finding a new group loving their music and then just loving everything they put out after that! Like a little musical gift every now and then. Loved your reaction!! 🤗
It was so good i died 💀 Then the music raised me back up again 😇 I'll keep supporting 🌙 no matter what comes. But it's comforting to have tripleS pick up the torch of this music style.
I feel the same, Fifi. I cried with you at the end. I’m so sad and happy for them. I hope triples can stick with this sound that I love for a little while. Love your reactions as always ❤❤
I know I'm late but this whole EP, especially Colorful made me so emotional for a lot of the reasons you listed. Instantly put on my Spotify playlists. Going to be on Repeat for a long time for sure. This group may very well help ease the pain of the losses in kpop over the last few months.
Colorful was so amazing, i did not expect much for the besides after the title track was chosen because the bsides typically dissapoint me with the lack of production(some albums not all) but triple s did amazing with this album, i hope the future units and the girls themselves will suceed in the industry 💞💞💞
Woah. Honestly, there was a vote going on to choose from 8 instrumentals which one was going to be the title track. I didn't want this one to win in the final but I can say today I'm not disappointed. Rising is very very good. I think it's a biy too short but you're right, the adlibs at the end are it! Beam... A masterpiece, I was floored... It's just so, so good. Colorful now... The Loonaprint is very strong and I teared up seeing you cry too because yeah, we're probably never getting Loona music again, we're not gonna see them as a group again and it's incredibly sad. But yeah, exactly like you said, this made me feel the way I felt when I first listened to Loona. I the sound can still exist, not everything is lost. I'm feeling a lot of things right now lmao sorry, I'm onto part 2 ✌🏾
going back to this one because we were now given a chance to hear THAT group again :< Colorful healed me and now I'm happy that we might get a chance of seeing them together again 🥲
Yeah, we know the other group you're talking about. It's so heartbreaking, but I can at least say we have a bit of that sound continuing in kpop, even if we don't if we will hear from them again.
And 6 months later, Loona members are finally free and back either here with Modhaus (5), in CTDE&M (5) or independent (2)!! Ya can't keep good girls down for long!
i have such a bittersweet feeling toward this group considering how jaden’s departure led to the eventual destruction of loona 😵💫 it’s crazy how clearly i hear the loona member’s voices on both beam and colorful 🥲 beam is so reminiscent of XX the same way colorful is reminiscent of ++
TripleS is from the previous creative director of “that group” and they are working with monotree for song production which is why you are getting the vibe of the earlier releases. I hope that this group will be treated properly and that the other group will be able to leave their company and comeback as 12 again in the future even if it takes them a few years.
Don't know if someone already said it but Jaden Jeong, who helped create Loona, is behind this group. So if you notice similarities it's most likely because it's his personal touch/style.
just wanted to say that i think the sound in the background for Colorful is very similar to a sound in apink's song i'm so sick (not the same just similar & different tempo)
I love that this group exists cause I’m gonna miss LOONA they’re my favorite group and I’m sad we’ll never see them as a group together, I’m sure some members will still stay in the industry and will debut in new groups or as soloist which of course I’ll be happy and support them but it won’t feel the same since they’d no longer be as one in a group together, I do hope to see Yeojin continue being an idol though but what ever she does I will support her cause I love her so much😭❤️
Yeah I was a little weirded out by having “Beam” as the 1st track and not “Before the Rise” I personally think “Beam” should have been placed before “Chowall” cause the transition would feel more smoother, my guess for why “Beam” is the 1st track is probably cause it was an easier way to pull listeners into the album which worked for me cause when I heard “Beam” I was like “Yup this album gonna be fire” but having “Beam” as the 1st track could also just be them doing something different cause then we have “Before the Rise” being the intro/interlude for “Rising” either way the album is amazing just like I said I personally would have placed “Beam” before “Chowall” anytime I listen to this album I always do that cause it me it’s just enhances the album more for me and give me a better listening experience
I'II really hate kakao ent for not putting the lalala with "heads up" as the bridge of the song 😭😭( Before The Rise instrumental, also the rising teaser inst)
All we can hope after the lawsuits are done is that all the Loona members join Chuu's company.... Or a good company with resources picks them up and Chuu has an agreement with them like Whee In does with RBW.
Attention and Hype Boy was similar concept, especially the dancing in casual public settings. Generation reminded me a lot of Attention when it first came out.
