Life like a roller coaster ride…
Since the age of 12, I knew falling pregnant wouldn’t be an easy task. I had amenorrhea, and was diagnosed with premature menopause. After years of failing to find the cause, I decided to stop investing time, and emotional and physical pain, and gave myself a break from the medical world to focus on being happy.
I married the man of my dreams at the age of 27 and not long after, we did what every young Australian does and did a 2 year stint in London.
In the final months of being in London, I encountered the pain of passing a kidney stone (two weeks), and also had blood clots coming out of my nose the size of 200g steaks.
When we came back to Melbourne, I decided to look into my health. It didn’t take long before I was told I was a, ‘human ticking time bomb'. They had found a dilated blood cell in my brain; an aneurysm, 4 cm in diameter sitting on my pituitary gland. The cause of the problems I had for over 10 years! Within a week, I had the aneurysm treated.
Two years later, we were lucky enough to be referred to the ‘Fertility Queen’ - Dr Lynn Burmeister. Through ovulation induction, I was blessed with TRIPLETS!
Everyone (but our family) at the party thought we would be finding out the gender of our BABY. The gender of the babies was a surprise to us too, but our guests were in for a bigger surprise…
