Compliment: nice tripreport Favorite video moment(s): the animated safety video clip, the complimentary sandwich and drink, the stunning view of Vienna and the clapping while landing Overall Rating: 7/10 Airlines that still need a tripreport: * Aruba Airlines * Divi Divi Air * Winair
9H- AEJ was delivered to KM in 2004. It was the last aircraft to wear the old livery and was leased for a number of years to Atlantic Airways. It was not painted in new KM livery as it is due to leave the fleet at the end summer schedule 2018 but lease has been extended and now it will leave in October 2019.
Ahhh I really wish you got to try the standard Air Malta plane. When I was there a couple of months ago I decided to be cheap and flew easyJet and I've always regretted it.
@Simply Aviation - Id like to clarify some points you made and give some additional info of my own. Ive travelled AM many times including this A319. This A319 has been in the AM fleet since at least 2006, i know cos i travelled on it once in 2006 and twice in 2008. It's always been a "standard" plane and the legroom hasnt changed, it just was leased out briefly. The seats have also remained the same. Please note that legroom differs on AM planes even on the same aircraft. Seats in Econ up to before the Emer Exit row have LESS legroom than those after Exit row. This is because they are business class seats cos business class used to go further back before. These seats are more padded and hence less legroom. These seats are the Up Front Econ seats that you could choose when purchasing a seat when buying your ticket. The Standard seats have a little more legroom cos they have less padding. I noticed this myself, my uncle noticed too and an air steward once explained to me too. In fact during the part where you walk off the plane, once you pass Exit row notice the seats change a little. The tray table is different, and the seats have padded headrests which the seats further back dont. They are comfortable seats but the legroom shocked me. Also recently AM leased two planes, the 9H-AHS and the 9H-NEO. The AHS has horrid leg room. MY cousin flew on it and took a picture and then took a pic of him on a "standard" AM aircraft the legroom was noticable. The NEO has RED slimline seats. Two family members went on it and they too noticed that these "slimline" seats were less comfortable and legroom wasnt as good too. Typical airlines going to the dogs. I hope you have enjoyed all this additional info :D next time you fly AM sit in the Up Front seat and notice any differences. Also AM have stopped the complimentary bread and water since summer 2019. For an airline that isnt low cost it could at least offer water, tea and coffee without payment.
I took 2 flights on the same aircraft last fall. No livery, but probably because they sublease it to Atlantic Airways frequently. And Malta is fantastic. I hope you spent some time there.
hahaha. Yesterdays video was PUJ where i'd been the year before and today's video is from MLA which is my next trip on 04th March( admittedly i've been on quite a few in between the two). Am enjoying 'Felix February' greatly. Had to giggle at the clapping, it makes me laugh everytime I hear it
Nice video i know a airline that you canfly in the summer (Air Transat) You can go from Amsterdam to Toronto Or you can choose the destenation btw nice video
I flew 9H-AEJ twice in October 2018, from Cagliari to Malta and then onto Palermo. Sadly, it was scrapped in January 2020, and no longer graces the sky.
It would be amazing if you could fly Aer Lingus long-haul, Air Serbia and Biman Bangladesh, I'd love to see how good these airlines are pls. your trip reports are amazing!!! kind regards
I've always wondered why people clap every time their plane lands. Did they won a prize? Anyway your videos never seems to disappoint. Great constant trips and quick direct review on in-flight services and leg room. Amazing you have all the time getting jet-lagged. Best TRIPREPORT channel on YT.
Why do i feel like the phrase " the seatbelts should be fastened, adjusted, and unfastened like THIS" isnt really the best way to go about the safety video?
What date exactly was this on? Early or late September, because it was on Saturday 2nd of September 2017 that I was on Air Malta flying to Zurich.... then on to London. Edit: if anyone actually reads this, try and guess why I was in Malta.
