You have a good view from your seat 36A for looking out of the window. You can really get an idea of the humongous size of the Airbus a380 just by looking at the sheer size of the wings. Quite impressive.
Amazing Trip Report! The A380 is such a comfortable aircraft to fly on as a passenger. I’ve only flown on it once with Qatar but it was amazing. I hope you enjoyed your flight. ✈️
Watching that video has made me hugely nostalgic for the pre-Covid travel world. I do hope that once the vaccine takes effect we can get that back. I so miss travel and seeing Heathrow busy. Have you done any travelling during the pandemic?
I miss it too! I was in Dublin twice and also Rhodes and Cologne but that's all since the start of September. I was looking at Lanzarote for my birthday in a fortnight but that's now off the cards.
@@ManchesterAviation I have been contemplating Gibraltar, but even there they are now going in to lockdown. Here's to things calming down in early 2021!
I'll be flying the A380 on September 2024, from MIA to LHR. Upper deck economy. Thanks to the many reports on seating. I chose my seat based on several comments saying basically the same thing.
Great report mate! LA is on my list of places to visit, hopefully 2021 is the year I can go! I flew with BA on their A380 to Miami a couple of years back, the staff were top notch as they always are & the A380 is just incredible! I'm still in awe on how a machine so big and heavy can get off the ground so easily, I hope I get another opportunity to fly on one in the coming years 🙏
This was a very good video !! The vegetarian meal looked fabulous !! 😋Was it quinoa ,or rice salad on the far right ? A380 is really nice ! Sad to know BA is phasing out upstair both economy / premium economy seats on A380 !! 😔 Thank you so much for this video !! 👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈🎄💞
'Live' take off/rotation, and final approach; thank you. My experience with departing from Terminal 5 in Feb. 2009 was that it was never printed on my boarding pass, nor did any staff make me aware that there are two satellite terminals, one of wh. was where my flight to SEA departed from. I asked numerous staff, only to be told that no, they didn't have a map, and that no, they couldn't show me where to catch the train. But they could show me where the shops were. The Business Class lounge in Terminal 5 B was disgusting, food/drinks just sat there with nobody making the slightest effort to do anything about it.
Thanks for watching! I had absolutely no complaints about the seat. However, I'd try to get a seat on the upper deck if possible but only because the views of the wing are better up there 😁
@@ManchesterAviation Lol. I am busy doing many things in my life ,but I love watching travelling vlogs & airplanes & trains ,even buses !!! LOLLOLLOL I often watch those videos w/ mom together instead of movies !! We do watch movies together ,too !! But,more plane videos ,far far more !!! Lol 😆
@@vincebilotti8301 theres always some over the Atlantic because of the jet streams. But those big planes handle it really well so you dont feel it as bad. I only remember one time flying back from LA to London where we hit bad turbulence over the Atlantic. Other than that its just normal bumps here and there.
@@danandrews8102 thanks for your answer, I tend to get really panicked when there are turbulences, I am not looking forward to that flight, its my first time soon.
May I ask how long it took to transfer from planes? We have a 1h45m layover and I'm wondering if that's going to be enough. Layover is in the same terminal btw
I know !! I agree 👍 Some retired 'em already as for the covid I think !! They've lost too much money !! BA is phasing out their upstair economy seats on A380 !! Bummer !! 💜🥁🐉🎤✈🎶🎄🎁💞
I've always wondered how it would be for someone from Britain who comes to the US for the first time (especially California), and what he or she thinks of the topography and the people---especially when landing.
So hope thse aircrafts with BA will be back in the skies where they belong. Also it's not the same from Heathrow to Los Angeles on a 4 engined plane. I flew back from LAX to Heathrow in 2015 on A380 and last flew into LAX with BA A380. Ironically it was with this registered plane G-XLEF
Great video! I flew on this same exact flight 6 years ago, and one issue I have (and based on your video they haven’t done anything about it) is that they still give water cups. I’ve flown on the SFO-LHR and vice versa route as well, and they provide water bottles instead, and sometimes ice cream (before covid, i don’t know if they still do it now). It’s something minor but it’s nice to have some water in a bottle instead in a cup. Liked and subscribed! Stay safe!
I had to wait more than a decade to get my US Visa sorted out....so to wait that long and then fly the one aircraft I HAD to be on was mind blowing!! OK - the BA service wasn't the best and there were a fair number of problems on the plane itself...toilets not re-supplied, entertainment systems not working in certain areas including mine....but on economy you have to expect it really. All in all I loved the experience on the A380 and REALLY hope she's still doing the Heathrow to LA route. British Airways SUCK though in general. My domestic flight to LHR was cancelled with NO notice ending up in a crazy high speed trip from LBA to LHR at very illegal speeds. BA took my money, no refund. TOSSERS.
same meal again because you choose it macaroni and cheese again - you also mentioned just over los angeles then the captain said we are at 39,000 feet so i think you have many comments wrong if that was the case the view out of your window would be way different
@@ManchesterAviation I thought so because you use low cost airlines. I would never fly with Ryanair. I prefer British Airlines, Lufthansa (with its subsidaries) I‘m planning to Dublin with Aer Lingus. I‘ve got 16000 frequent flyer points with BA and flew 3 times on Business Class (Europe) with them. Before I fly with Ryanair I‘d save the money and book a flight with the national airlines.
@@ManchesterAviation Ryanair has got the worst terms and condition in connection with hand luggage. A friend of mine changed to easy jet because they‘ve got better terms and condition in connection with hand luggage. There was an incident wirh Ryanair 10 years ago. (The company wanted to save money) Amd to be honest Ryanair use airports who are far away Reasons to avoid them.
