Simply Aviation the thing is that I flown Iberia 40 times (half long haul flights) and I have never gotten an upgrade. You probably got an upgrade because you fly with airlines which cooperate with the one world alliance.
I don't think showing the amenity kit was too much information...this and the food are always the highlights of all flight reports for me; also it was very nice to see a shoehorn included...that is very clever.

The reason why the plane was over there is because the A340 has to drop off the passengers at the international terminal, and get costoms. Then it comes over to the American terminal to pick everyone up and head on their way (sorry if this was a bit late)

Iberia has become a really good airline nowadays where the classic ones like British Airways or American Airlines falling apart in terms of onboard service. Iberia is so great!

One thing I always ask myself...are you expected to leave pricy amenities like headphones or pillows/blankets in the plane or can you take them with you??? I expect the latter?
Things that are oproduced to be used once, like amenity kits can be taken with you. Blankets, pillows and headphones are re-used most of the times so it would be better to leave them there... If you pay for the headphones though, that might happen on ceratin Economy Class flights, you can take them with you as well!
My opinion is that amenity kits are the third most important things on flights (after food and IFE... :D) so PLEASE keep showing them, if your audience is not against it... :D Just an information... Do you have a date of publishing for your Cape Town video? Maybe the 21st or 28th of October? Just asking, I am looking SOOOOOOOOOOO forward to it! Thanks!

Nice video! The inbound flight arrives into terminal 5 and is serviced, then is towed over to K19 for departure. All international inbound flights arrive in Terminal 5. Lufthansa and ANA depart from T1, Japan Air, Iberia and Air Berlin departure from T3.
here in Chicago, International arrivals usually park at Terminal 5(International Terminal) so the passengers can go through Customs and Immigration, then the plane taxis to its departure gate...
Whenever possible I try to fly with an A340. It is simply one of the safest commercial aircraft in service. To date, there has not been a single fatality due to a misfortune of an A340.
Amazing trip report as always! I hope you had a good stay in Chicago! Btw Iberia arrives into Terminal 5 at ORD, to drop off the passengers so they can clear customs, then the plane pushes back and boards at Terminal 3. Qatar used to do that but since it was too expensive they now depart/arrive from T5. ANA and Lufthansa do a similar thing: they arrive at Terminal 5 and board at I think Terminal 1 or #2 (United terminals).

T5 is used to deplane passengers because that is where immigration and customs is located. Boarding is done in T3 though because that is where IB's OW partner is. AA, JAL, and more do this. Some OW carriers board from T5 though like BA and CX.
Great PR for Iberia. I'm one of the few that enjoy Iberia, but they're a 'mixed bag' for sure, sometimes very rude, but with this great vlog, anyone in doubt about using Iberia, would soon confirm. Both flights really looked fantastic, so well done IB and to you for sharing! Un saludo

The reason you saw the plane on the other side of the tarmac is because the arriving passengers had to disembark at the International Terminal (5) as there is no immigration at O’Hare Terminal 3
Hey David. I have a question about the second flight. I recognized the A320 with its 4 emergency exits on the wings but, why does Iberia provides A319 safety cards 😕😕??
@@Kpeezy27 But notice that A319 has 6 Emergency exits (two in the front, two on the wings and two at the rear) but the A320 has 8 emergency exits (two at the front, 4 on the wings and two at the rear. Okay I could understand if it was an A318 but, c'mon an A319 SC for an A320. Weird

Those buzzing engines are not music to my ears. What is? P&W JT8D's. Used on 727-200, 737-200 and DC-9's. Yes, I'm old school. Those are the type of planes my father worked on at the airline here in the US. Iberia Business class looked real good.

It's great...so I got the chance to sleep more. The new cabin is a state of the art one! I nearly always don't drink any alcoholics onboard to reduce the jetlag!
Can you make a video about KLM business class on the 787-9, or the new first class on delta A350, or the new polar business class on united, or on SAS the new business class?
The amenity kit is just awesome! not only by the items provided but also compared to other airlines! you should always show the amenity kit for the sake of comparison!

The plane at ord was at terminal 5 for arrivals because all international arrivals happen there. Then the plane taxied and parked at terminal 3 because Iberia has a one world codeshare with American Airlines

A wonderful report! "YES" vote for showing amenity kit. It appears that Iberia has really upgraded itself. For many years it was regarded as a mediocre airline with lousy on-time performance. Spain is such a beautiful country; they deserve a top-flight airline.
Somebody made the comment...upgrade? Ha ha. I mainly fly business class, but I never got an upgrade in my entire life, and I've been frequently flying since the age of Six!! No seriously, it's good that you get recognised by the airlines. And please do cover the amenity kits. Some airlines have an amazing amount of good quality stuff in them.
