I'm from Banlgadesh, and it's the opposite with us. We have relatively new aircraft at Biman, but our crew are an absolute joke. With PIA, hey desperately need a refresh of the cabins. Absolutely adore the PIA crew who are nothing short of amazing. Genuine smiles, attention to detail and they make you feel special. Highly underrated. Financial constraints mean that they're having to suffer along the way. Hope they can turn a page and find some fortune to grow and upgrade their cabins, if not purchase new aircraft.
@@foziasajjad1274 what was your route? Granted I haven't flown them too often, but have never had issues with their crew. Typically Pakistani with amazing hospitality.
@@foziasajjad1274 that's sad. Growing up I've had both Pakistani and Bangladeshi neighbors. The Bangladeshi ones always came across as jealous and selfish. Incredible brotherhood from my Pakistani neighbors. May be we have the same problem? Our own don't like us very much?
@@foziasajjad1274 yeah no. I’m a Pakistani too and that is really not what it is at all. Also calling your own country stupid? How do you even deserve to call yourself a Pakistani if you hate it yourself. And maybe some Pakistanis do that but that is for sure not the majority.
Simply aviation should have a scale of legroom (other known as Simply Aviation legroom scale): 1. Zero fingers - horrible 2. One finger - bad 3. Two fingers - sustainable 4. Three fingers - good 5. Four fingers- great 6. Five fingers - wonderful

Seemed like you enjoyed PIA's long haul flight. I flew their 777-200LR from Lahore to Karachi and I have to see that it was much better than I expected as well. It seems like people are too sensitive with PIA.
Yes IFE is broken in most of the PIA planes travelled to Manchester on PIA last month. I had a talk with crew memeber he said we r sending 777s to US 1 by 1 for IFE overhaul soon they will be fixed.

@Mohammed Bakr PIA as an airline has a lot of work to do with their cabins, but there's no doubt that their pilots are some of the best in the business.
Charismatic , classy people of Pakistan 🇵🇰, love PIA as I travelled in it from London to New York back in the days I hope they start their flights again to JFK loved the food and hospitality and take off and landing , long live Pak, love ❤️ and respect from a Nepali American
I think this is the first high-quality review of Pakistan International Airlines on RU-vid! Congrats! 🥳 As for the flight itself, I did watch snippets of other reviews of PIA, and it seems like they have a problem with in-flight entertainment screens being broken on their Boeing 777s. I'm pretty surprised to see that this aircraft *kinda* has mood lighting, but, for some reason, it's only above the window seats, and not the aisles. The seats themselves really do look comfortable, but they don't look very long-haul; they remind me of Turkish Airlines' short-haul business class seats. I think the cabin definitely needs a refresh. I'm glad you enjoyed the food, but to me, everything except the cakes and drinks looks dry. 😬 Was it really like that? Finally, I'm glad that the airline does actually live up to its slogan - "Great People to Fly With". I also love the female cabin crew uniforms! 😅 Overall, to me, this was a very nice trip report, like pretty much all of your videos! 👏
I’ve had problems with the IFE not working on 777s before, it’s quite weird considering I have flown the 777 in Singapore Airlines and the IFE was broken... i was given another seat though. I think the food was meant to be crispy, and the rice was specifically cooked that way to give it that dryish looking texture, but I’m sure it wasn’t that dry.
@@Bionix21 Broken in-flight entertainment simply happens on every airline, Simply Aviation even has a trip report from a transcontinental flight on United's Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner (which was almost brand new, I think), and yet his seat had broken IFE. I have noticed, however, that on Pakistan International Airlines, IFE that doesn't work seems pretty common. As for the food, it was never pointed out that it was dry, so I guess that it wasn't, but you can't deny that it does look like it... 😬
@Muhammad Umar "Patriotic" means something related to loving a country. PIA isn't a country, and I never stated I love it. I'm not even from Pakistan, so I have no idea where that came from. And I'll keep writing my essays because I like expressing my opinions in a little more detail, thank you very much. 💋
Great to see you do a video on PIA. Please keep in mind this airline which was once renowned as best in the world has been through years of neglect particularly in the last ten years. The new government appointed a management headed by an Air Force Air Marshall last year. When he took over the airline was in a loss in excess of Rs 300 billion with many of it's jets grounded. The entire fleet is now operational and funds have been allocated last week for installation of new IFEs on all 777s. Hopefully, things will be even better next time around.
PIA, Pan Am, TWA, Malaysia Airlines, Ansett, so many once great airlines that can't sustain their success? Such a shame... you'd think they could see it coming and re-structure or improve before it's too late?

It is a comfortable flying PIA between UK & Pakistan as its a direct flight, so saves time. The pilots are skilled in perfect landings. I also like the fact that they serve meal soon after departure and then let you sleep for a good 5-6 hours. Then they turn the lights on and serve tea and you arrive fresh at the destination.
I had good experience with PIA from Lahore to London and London to Lahore except the air hostess. Both flights were on time. But Qatar airways is the best.

So many trip reports of out my hometown Karachi but never have I captured from the main entrance to the gate like you did 🤠. Great job. Glad you enjoyed the flight and the food. Those little fried things are Shami Kebabs the most wonderful thing between two slices of bread and some ketchup. Yum!
Yes.... It was #1 in Asia around 1964 onwards for quite a longer time.... PIA had a great past. It was destroyed by the politicians bad policies from 1992 onwsrds.
I'm a ex pilot of pia and recently working in Emirates, well pia literally sucks the whole airline is in loss and they have 2 hand used aircrafts which are totally old.
my grandad used to work as a high rank in pia in the 70s when it was one of the best airlines on the world, nowadays pia has gone into becoming an average airline but still holds up to its old reputation

I agree 50% with you, the aircraft was well maintained and only his IFE was not working, as he was walking between isles, most IFE's were properly working, and this is a big achievement for PIA. PIA was abused by pakistans previous Gov. For example, they would order PIA 777 to deliver their clothes to London. And had only 14 planes left in thier fleet and now thay have 32 with all planes working properly and 11 on order in next 5 years. Plus thier serive and crew has gotten much better. But your right, they need to do more, which I have no doubt, they will

I flew PIA a while back from Chicago to Karachi and it was pretty nice. Loved the food it’s the best ! I am very tall over 6 feet so I found the planes seats to be very roomy.
Hi this is not the pia cabin... this aircraft have still got the air aistral seat with 3-4-3 and with their entertainment system...pia seats configuration is 3-3-3 and the entertainment system is different. Nice video by the way..
What a dirty flight it was. Feeling very disgusted !! This video has completely proved that the integrity of PIA was belongs to Poverty Islamic Airlines.
