NYC Flyer I’ve flown SAS from the US to my native country of Sweden and it is a great airline. In fact, it’s my childhood airline. When I lived in Sweden and we flew to visit the US, we always flew on the old SAS Boeing 747s. Nostalgic!
@@nenblom I'm Chinese and I lived in Denmark. I flied SAS every time when I was going back to China from Denmark because Air China is really expensive and I'm a Star Alliance passenger, and I absolutely love SAS. Now I live in the UK but every time I go back to China I still fly with them!
The meal and cabin looked nice, but are you telling me if I even wanted water between meals I would need to pay for it? That is a small turn off if so, especially as other carriers improve their long haul services lately.
Hey SAS, I am from Finland. Finland doesn't technically belong to Scandinavia. Do Finns have culture or are we too white for you as well? Asking because I love my country and I saw your "What is truly Scandinavian" commercial, the backlash you received from it and your dismissive response to its criticism.

I also think most international airports look more like an up market shopping mall!! Vacant seat next to you...what a blessing! Its a shame to see the A340 moving into retirement. I have done a number of flights on this type with Etihad and Philippine Airlines and I think they are a great aircraft...but not so fuel efficient. Food looked good....better than most economy meals! Glad you enjoyed it....and breakfast looked ok as well. Excellent review of what looks like a very good economy product.Well done again!
Flew this airline from LHR on a 737-700 to Oslo connecting with TG to BKK. A bit odd that a cup of tea was free but there was a charge for water! Figure that one out😊
Experience: amazing! Favorite video moment(s): A340-300, the cabin interior, the ife system, ALL THAT FOOD and that train speed at the end Overall Rating: 9.5/10 Airlines that still need a tripreport: * EZ Air * Divi Divi Air * Winair Also can you come to Aruba's Airport
If you fly Sas and Its their a340 fleet. Then avoid LN-RKP, not updated interior. But thank god It gets replaced may/june this year with an a330-300e and If you go to CPH another time then Scandinavian souvenirs sells small Sas a340 push fit models
I flew SAS Go on the A330 last month. After comparing it to SAS Plus I didn’t find many differences. One of the things that I found out was that on my flight home from LAX I got the same meal as I got on the Plus flight, something that shocked me. Anyway nice trip report:D
Great report as always...BUT what the heck is going on with SAS's on board service?! You only get 1 drink and 1 food option for free?! ....for me a no go I'd go for another carrier for sure!!
Did this a340 also have the downstairs toilets or does only the -600 have them? Great video again and I really want to try SAS but starting from Nuremberg and wanting to fly with them is not that easy or cheap. :(
"This is one of these gates where they scan your boarding pass and then you're trapped in a small waiting area..." It could be worse... you could be in Kansas City (MCI), where they scan your boarding pass and then you're trapped in a small waiting area, except there's no upscale mall before you get to your gate, just the usual airport gift newsstands and such. The Kansas CIty airport was actually an amazing and efficient design for the 70s and 80s where you could go straight from curbside to your plane in just a few steps. But once security measures were implemented, they walled off the gates, so once you go through security at each cluster of gates, you're stuck. However, Kansas City is going to build a new terminal that is more in line with the rest of the USA and other major world airports with a central security checkpoint that leads to a mall and the gates.
wait no choice in Eco? but what if I'm a vegetarian for example? do I then have to preorder a special meal or bring somehting myself?? feels a bit scammy imo
the dark bread you got for breakfeast is called "Rugbrød" its a very danish thing that most of us eat every day for lunch, and many of the other things in both your meals are from denmark actually, so a very local meal :D
SAS’s lack of economy catering choice and lack of complementary drinks between meals on such a long international route doesn’t impress me one bit. When even the American carriers give you an economy meal choice and complementary drinks between meals that says something.
Can someone help me? I have bought a SAS go light tickets and one one carry on bag is allowed of 8kg, can I bring small a backpack too (within their laptop bag measurements)? It’s pretty small.
Oh shucks the legroom looks awful; 31". I am flying SAS economy to Copenhagen from New York. I always wanted to go on them. My dad used to fly on their Caravelles in the 60s'. It was for me an exotic airline. Food looks delish. I hope I get the same meal in June. LOL.
A thorough report. For a ten-hour flight, I'd probably have to break the bank for an upgrade, as that tight seating would be a killer for me. For Economy, I'd say that the catering was excellent, and I like the magazine selection rack. IFE looked fine. You didn't mention wifi, so I imagine it's not available. So overall, I'd say that SAS offers a good deal for short people.
