This is arguably Trisha's most popular/well known songs. She is a phenomenal singer with a huge string of hits! You can't go wrong with any you may choose. If I may suggest tho, my personal favorite is; "Georgia Rain". Others to check out are; "Down on my knees" "I would have loved you anyway" "The song remembers when". 😊

Ooooh, some Trisha! Reminds me of my momma. Don't stress too much about people not loving every new country song - can't please 'em all!! Older Stuff: Suzy Boggus - 'Aces' and/or 'Outbound Plane' Deana Carter - 'Strawberry Wine' and/or 'Did I Shave My Legs For This' and/or 'We Danced Anyway' Alison Krauss - 'When You Say Nothing At All' and/or 'It Doesn't Matter' and/or any of her covers 'Baby, Now That I've Found You', etc. Mindy McCready (RIP) - 'Guys Do It All The Time' and/or 'Ten Thousand Angels' and/or her cover of 'You'll Never Know' Newer Stuff: Cam - 'Til There's Nothing Left' and/or 'Diane' (alleged "response" to Dolly's 'Jolene') and/or Burning House Orville Peck - 'Queen of the Rodeo' and/or 'Legends Never Die' and/or 'No Glory in the West' and/or 'Dead of Night' and/or 'Hope to Die' (a lot of death-related titles, I know)

That's the song that made me get into country music after disliking it my entire childhood. Their Cafe on the Corner CD fit nicely into my storage case right in between Ratt - Detonator and Slaughter - Stick it to Ya. Now, at 48, I find myself listening to my hard rock faves on occasion and listening to 90s country faves regularly.

Wade Hayes is a country music artist that is a mix between traditional country and the newer country music. I really don't think anyone has reacted to any of his songs. He hasn't put anything out in a good bit. He found out he had stage 4 colon cancer and he had a bit of a battle with it, but he beat it. Check out "Old Enough to Know Better ".

Please do a comparison video between Trisha Yearwood version of How Do I Live and the LeAnn Rimes version of How Do I Live. Back in 1997, it was quite the controversy in the world of country music. What had happened was the writer of the song Diane Warren had given the song to LeAnn Rimes to sing. They wanted to use the song on the Conair soundtrack. When the movie company heard LeAnn Rimes version they liked it what they thought she was too young to carry off the believability at the time. She was only 15. Plus for some reason they wanted Leann to change producers and she did not want to do that. So unbeknownst to Leann or her record company the producers of the movie got Trisha Yearwood to re-record How Do I Live with the same musicians that has been on LeAnn Rimes track. Then Trisha Yearwood record company MCA records released Trisha's version to country radio. At first curb records LeAnn Rimes record label was going to sue MCA records but instead they thought better of it and released LeAnn Rimes version How Do I Live to country and pop radio. Trisha's version dominated country radio number one but the LeAnn Rimes version dominated the Billboard Hot 100 for over a year. Trisha sold roughly 3 million copies of her version while Leann sold double that of her version. LeAnn Rimes got to perform the song Live at the Grammys that year. However Trisha walked away with the trophy. Both women kept it classy to their credit although the tabloids at the time loved to pit them against each other. I would just be curious of your opinion as to who sang it better.

I do like this song. There are newer songs l like. l stopped listening to the newer stuff somewhere around the time that Kacey Musgraves had her 1st hit. From the 2000s & on, some singer l liked. But most i didn't. Country for me became more pop/rock, rap. It's less about the song & more about loud music to cover up the singers voice. If asked what music l would listen to 2000 on. vs 90s... 90s. 90's vs 80's...80's. 70's on down is the stuff l grew up with. I love the traditional music the best though. Love hearing the steel pedal guitar, banjo, Fiddle & a great story song. Not trying to make people mad, upset or start an argument. We're all different in what we like & feel. Like Barbara Mandrell sings, "I Was Country, When Country Wasn't Cool" Everyone have a great day.😊

You hit the heart of country music when you said it is about the simple stuff. That also includes the music itself. That is the biggest complaint that us 'old country ' fans have against the new country. It is simply too loud, and trying to sound like modern day pop music.
