I agree with Lawrence. It's like the richer or more realized a song is these days, the more likely it is to exceed the intelligence of the masses. And I think it's moved past just listening to singles to the the point where just listening to anything for more than 20-30 seconds has become a chore. Ah well, you can always put on a mouse head, blind people with a druggy light show, and traumatize them with an IQ-draining dance beat at ultrasonic decibels.

amazing song -- I can't hear this enough -- the most baffling thing about it is only 7k plays.. what the heck are people looking for in music?? (I listened to a lot of those with multi-million plays and NOTHING was even close to this for musical power.. the public is definitely AVERAGE and boring

Lawrence Jose Sinclair You're so right... but sometimes a monster success can potentially corrupt a part of your art... what would have become PinkFloyd without the poisoned gift of their "Dark side of the moon" success... their new popularity cost them to tour much more and record less LP's Sudden massive success influence and disturb the chemistry into most bands... it can be challenging too...but some artists are directly destroyed in full flight (miss Winehouse or even Nirvana) But it is true that Tristen deserve much more views... i don't want her to be too massive but 700'000 views for this would be complete Justice

Starry&Bohemian interesting and intelligent, stuff to ponder.. re Floyd, never liked them much, outside the avg rock song "Money", thought their ethereal instrumental excursions showed promise but fell short of better artists like Tangerine Dream, Michael Hoenig (of TD), Soft Machine, Terry Riley, etc.. I also found out much later, after my company could put a classical album in the top 5 on Billboard with just pre-orders for our chain alone (14 stores!), that many LP sales for chart topping albums were miniscule - one recently (bad country) was #1 with only 1200 copies sold that week - makes those "450 weeks in the top 200" almost meaningless, like maybe 50 more copies a week could keep it on the chart.. who knows, true finanancial data is probably as hidden to us (and I wrote media buying software for 11 yrs in CA) as top classified intel.. at any rate, I've learned to treat anything popular with a barrel of salt, esp books, films, and music.. the numbers are truly deceiving.. the more intelligent work gets limited release due to low expectations, then with limited availability (say small indie films) the numbers will be low more due to no marketing, no push by the distributor (if there is one).. in order to get the PR push and advertising, it has to be "expected to be commercially viable", meaning teens will rush to it, and some adults.. hence the 12-yr old mentality of most broadcast tv and pop films (the industry will admit they aim for this level).. but some band can ignore labels and PR, like Ozric Tentacles, and make it on their own ability, persistence, and finding a discerning, musically intelligent audience.. sadly these are few and far between, like maybe one a decade (tho I may have missed some great stuff due to lack of effort and diligence).. Fleet Foxes attributes their success to "illegal file sharing" - so why is it illegal, lol.. now they are reaping the financial rewards (I hope)..

Lawrence Jose Sinclair Oh Man you are a true analizer... unfortunately my English is not good enough to understand all the subtility of your thoughts about the low LP market ...but i can understand your main observations If you are a Tangerine Fan ...so probably you've read the tragic news of Edgar Froese passing in late january ?... This was a shock for me... I love Tangerine Dream ...I've listened again Ricochet (75) & Cyclone (78) the other day... and it was an extreme experience... i should send a copy to Beyonce ...lol Potentially those are perfect albums to ruin a smooth n sensual R'n'B party !

Starry&Bohemian Yes, I did hear about Froese, just wasn't sure when.. they were one of my favorites, and other music done in that mesmerizing style.. trance was a good name, but came far later - to us it was just "electronic music", but I think technically it was synthesizer music.. got me to get a Yamaha Digital Grand myself, with 600 instruments inside - then later a Korg Wavedrum, with 200 percussion sounds, and a real drumhead, and you can add 100 more of your own.. nice, for $200! you can play it with sticks, mallets, or hands..

your wrong. the money they make from this kind of feature is next to nothing, but catfish is using intellectual property and pays for it each time through blanket licencing agreements.

like the song. but the older stuff was better IMHO. Too much electronic 'wall of sound." So much talent, this isn't where she should be.
