Tom Is a legend , been into his music since the early 80s Great interview. How can a 'metal' mag give Morbid tales 1 out of 5? lol that ep was way ahead of it's time and still one of the best metal recordings ever!
Here’s something, Celtic Frost opened many doors for bands to come afterwards!!! Paradise Lost, Type o Negative and Lacuna Coil had their paths paved by Celtic Frost by adding gothic elements to metal!! Also Black Metal, Death Metal and Industrial acts such as Godflesh are inspired/influenced by Hellhammer/ Celtic Frost. Even Grunge, Nirvana played Celtic Frost to death !! I’ve been into Celtic Frost since I was 13 (1986.) I still listen to them & Voivod because they are so individualistic and heavy sounding!!!
After all these years. Nice to see the man, and his band HH fights on just as MINOTAUR. We fought the same critics, the same cynics in the day. All who have now been felled like trees after the storm. ⛧🤘
Just read a long article about this in Rolling Stone. Glad that Hellhammer is getting the respect they deserve. Ridiculed by many in the early 80's and finally getting credit for what they have done. By the way that Mia is one hot Metal Goddess.
Been a fan since 1984'- Hellhammer/Celtic Frost- Thomas G Warrior , You ARE a legend in MY book! I used to get made fun of by my buddies because they liked bands like Fucking Ratt and I loved Hellhammer/Celtic Frost, Venom, Sodom, Mercyful Fate. I would absolutely be honoured if I could one day meet you! That would be fucking AWESOME!!
I've been listening to Tom's Music for 35 years now, and if there's a lesson to draw is that not only Death is Real - his total honesty and commitment are also TRUE. Think of all the Metal role-models we lost since, say, Chuck Schuldiner, then Quorthon, then Steele, then The Shark, or even his old bandmate Martin, rip … you name THEM...so let's cherish his inspiration and stop whining about Cold Lake, forfukksake. Hail HELLHAMMER, forever undead.
