I like more slender bikes... it really does look how it should always have done... not sure about the Diavel rear but it really suits this bike’s lines. It’s just that it will be compared to one when it’s in a different league really...

@@CaptainRambunctious Sir The bike is nice to look at but in my opinion, not as nice as the previous version. Mine looked MEAN and sinister at the same time. It was a bike Batman would ride! I didn't like the riding position, especially the forwardish location of the foot pegs. The ride wash pretty harsh but I suppose it will break in. The seat probably contributed to it because is was very firm (rock hard) to sit on. The pillion seat is too small also. I didn't like the exhaust pipes and think they should have done a 3 into 1 and got rid of that tiny ugly little bastard one on the left side and had just one on the right side. It would have freed up much needed space and would have looked a lot nicer. You'll get your chance and I think you'll agree with me with what I stated good Sir. Sir Ed of Sandy Hook

Simon Goddard the rocket has its own rather large following! The TFC has already sold out! It’s just a brute of a bike and some people love that! After all, who’s going to have a bigger engine than that?! 😁

Captain Rambunctious for sure, on a personal level i put it on a par with Harley’s Livewire, great engineering and technology, but ultimately without real purpose past plaything.

@@simongoddard8490 You've really got to try one to understand. I had the old one, which pulled away on tickover and just had tremendous ease of power to ride. The handling on fast, twisty, A roads wasn't great, but the new Rocket's single shock and 45kg less should sort that. On a practical level, I went on a trip to Skye with a group of bikes and I got the same mpg as a guy on a Tiger 800 (we filled up opposite sides of the same pump). It just depends what kind of bike you want...and what your budget will stretch to.

MrBillyRR if you enjoy it Billy that’s all that matters. The older I get the more enjoyment I get from light small capacity bikes I can use to their full potential on back roads away from traffic and congestion. I bought a CRF250l in January and it has been a revelation. Back to the 250’s of my teens in the 70’s when you had to really ride it to get the most out of it, cheap but the fun is huge. I have a 1600 Thunderbird and most days it stays in the garage, if one had to go it would be that as the roads it’s good on are just not fun.

@@simongoddard8490 I'm lucky enough to have a couple of bikes already and the Rocket will be something different. I have smaller, more agile handling bikes that I love, but they are not so good for the big mileages or motorways. I do about 10,000 miles a year on bikes, so it's horses for courses.

Ah, it's our of most people's price ranges, but it's still something fun to look at!

Sathish Rao ah, a Triumph and Rocket staple look... one large one wouldn’t really have worked and the single normal size would have been too small proportions wise? Maybe a 7” bowl like on the Thruxton but again might look out of proportion?

Sorry Steven.....I drive truck for a living. My bank account is by no means overflowing.....sometimes you see something and you figure out a way to make it work. Delivery in December (which is a bit of a joke for those of us living in the north).

Deviant Rider there’s a dual seat available that covers the tail! Look at the website for the GT version... but yes, not with this seat! 🤣 It does lovely.. my issue is the cost... that’s enough for a really good fairly new car!

@J G well the original Rocket 3 has been supercharged. Guess I wonder how long it will be before we see one of these supercharged. Maybe someone already has !

@J G Yes, I know Triumph have never sold the Rocket 3 supercharged as standard. Either the original or the new one. So when I said the earlier Rocket 3 has been supercharged, that wasn't by Triumph as a standard production bike. I have seen a video of some guy who had his earlier Rocket 3 modified with a Supercharger. It was a bit insane ! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XkBj7bOs6SI.html I'm wondering who is going to be the first to think that 168 BHP is not enough on the new Rocket 3 . As you say it's possible to get a real lot more power out of it ! Personally, I'm quite happy with a 96 BHP Speed Twin. Ducati have been doing this on the diavel for ages which is where triumph got the idea from. And lots of other ideas from the duke. So it aint a new bike from triumph its a bloody diavel clone!!!

Hiya- if factory figures are consistent 184HP and 221NM for the TFC. I got a bet a bet on with my Army buddy from another regiment on his Diavel on a drag race - so if I don't drag him down the strip it's going back 🇬🇧💪🏻👏🏻⚔️😊

it's only 200cc bigger than the old one but much lighter and stiffer... will be something else!

I was also wondering what you thought of the original Yamaha fazer 600, my dad bought one a few months ago and it is brilliant but a bit on the uncomfortable side for longer journeys and was wondering if you could do a couple of videos on older bikes and see what they are like compared to the newer versions.

@@potnoodlelol That's a really good idea! It's harder for me to get hold of older bikes but will see what I can do... The Fazer was an excellent bike but ergonomics and seats have come on a long way. There are plenty of after market comfort seats around though. Corbin, sergent and the like... worth a google...
