I removed the carburettor and totally stripped and cleaned it, discovering the pilot passageways were well and truly blocked with a glue like fuel residue. Then, I refitted the carb and tried starting the engine again, as seen here.
G'day Paul, well that a suprise thought you had a handful of problems, looks like the head needs tightening down or a new gasket, will you give the engine a compression test? Cheers mate, Neil 🤠.
Hi Paul. I was just wondering ... wouldn't it be a good idea to pour half a cup of something like the "Marvel Mystery Oil" into the oil tank before each oil change? Idle it for 15 min, then let it sit in the engine for half an hour and then run it again for another 15 min before actually draining the old oil? I have been doing that for years every time I change oil in my Toyota. So far no sludge buildup or any undesired side effects.
