Hello. I have the same motorcycle. Same problem with the lighting during nights. I replaced the original bulb with a PIAA 70856 H4 Xtreme White 60/55. It is halogen but definitely brighter than the original. I also added a pair of PIAA 530 led driving lights. I bought everything on Amazon. Nice ride by the way.
Thanks for the kind words buddy....yes I have replaced the bulb with an led ..better...but not great...I did fit an led headlight ...but would not fit properly due to the complicated headlight bezel and retainer ring....so rain water was getting into the headlight housing ..so put it back to stock.....I'm currently working on a solution...if successful...I will post a video👊👊👍
Just a heads up, because of the lean on the side stand water can travel along the cables into the motone indicators on the left hand side. I had to take mine apart and clean them out today. Worth taking a look 👍
Also have an old air-cooled Scrambler (2014) and similarly the headlight was a bit of a quirky annoyance - I switched out the whole assembly for an aftermarket one. Speaking of scouring the Internet for aftermarket bits and bobs that fit this model / year... have you had any luck finding the crash / dresser bars? Official ones are discontinued and I haven't been able to find any online - be it on ebay or fb marketplace. (I did find one from what looked like a very dodgy chinese site - not sure I want to drop £100+ on that!)
Hi buddy....I haven't really looked for crash bars as it is not really my thing ...but there may be some on British customs website...they do parts for this bike...I think I remember seeing some....or maybe rentech....best of luck with your search.....where did you get your headlight assembly from...I've seen one on motodemic website...but pricey 👊
@@Aircooled865 yeah already checked BC but no luck sadly. Re: headlight - I got something from Baak. But pricey with the import costs too but worth it!
@@Aircooled865 yes I only noticed because I put an arrow on mines recently. Just make sure your lamba sensors go on the right ones after. I fixed my denalis to the bolts either side of the headlamp using denalis L shaped bracket. Also bought the switch which works with my high beam. Amazing night time vision 👍
