Reviews like this made me buy my Streety R one year ago brand new as a beginner rider (50+ in age so did my A license straightaway). And I do not regret it at all. For me it is the does-it-all bike. Break-in in winter months with ice sheets and snow on the road, also no problem. But had to turn around at some points as road conditions were too bad for my liking. Heated grips are a godsend. Now 8000 km later I know the bike much better, gained much more experience and still I say I don’t want another bike. Multiple 9-10 hour days in the saddle prove it for me. No aches and still feeling ok after such a ride. Feel the bike can do more than I ever dare. The analog tach/lcd speedo combination is just brilliant. All info you need at a glance. And most of all it is just fun to ride. Only thing I did after buying the bike is switch to RS bar end mirrors as the standard ones seemed to collapse at times and I had to keep adjusting them. No such problems for the bar end mirrors.

You'll get there one day brother! I also dreamed for years of owning a striple R and I finally do and couldn't be more happy. I LOVE this bike and the sound is amazing! Mine has a Yoshimura pipe too so the sound is just all that much better!

As an owner of a 2020 RS I can only say good things about the motorcycle :D Good job as always Schaaf ! Top tier sound and video quality :D

I own a Street Triple R 675 from 2014 and I just love the sublime suspension and the engine. There are other great bikes out there, but IMHO nothing comes close to the combination of speed, agility, smooth triple engine and that airbox sound.

This makes me miss my Street Triple. I crashed it 2 years ago. I could listen to the sound of a Street Triple engine forever and never get tired of it. It's the only thing I can honestly say that is music to my ears.

OMG I'm so excited I just bought a beautiful red 2016 Street Triple R with only 15k km on it. Dealer is prepping it for pickup next week the waiting is excruciating. Let me tell you guys I test rode A LOT of motorbikes before buying this one, and I can really tell this model has something special about it. The 675 engine is fun as hell (I bet the extra torque of the 765 is nice though). The engine and transmission is super smooth and sounds amazing even with the standard exhaust. It is also so easy to ride fast and super confidence inspiring. I test rode a lot of different bikes and ended up testing 3 street triples. They were always the ones that left me with a huge grin. Plus the SS R 675 from 2012-2016 is super affordable 2nd hand. I understand why you have such a special feeling for these bikes ;)

Ich fahre seit fast 40 Jahren Motorrad und war bestimmt auch nicht immer ein Chorknabe. Aber solche Videos sind in der Aktuellen Situation in der wir uns befinden das letzte was wir gebrauchen können. Wasser auf die Mühlen derer die alle Motorradfahrer dafür hassen weil einige wenige die Straße zur Rennstrecke machen.

Very nice ride mate. I had the gen before '16 ST 675 RX with an arrow exhaust, the most balanced sport naked bike I did ride. The engine is superb and the weight is perfect, one of the best bikes to enjoy twisty roads.

Exciting video Schaaf! Looks very fast and must be lots of fun with a good front feel. I was tempted to trade in my MT09 for a STR, but the MT09 is such a good package for my everyday riding. I liked your comment about the different competitors. No bike is perfekt

The 2012 street r is in my option best of the lot. The 2013 models and later all had longer gearing and I feel lost some of its hooligan appeal. Though I have GSX S750 now (test rode and bought after watching your review and ride) I always miss my old STR. Awesome vid.

Very nice video, thank you! I bought a 2018 Street Triple R as my secondary Bike last year. My main Bike is a Honda VFR1200 F, which is great for long distances and traveling. But it is so heavy. So the Street Triple is perfect for a short afternoon blast or a sporty tour on sunday. I am so happy with the streety! :)

Yeah man. I got my 675 R roughly 3 years ago, and to this day I'm still flashed every time I ride it (and have space to move). I can't see myself ever replacing it voluntarily. To quote another moto journalist's review: "Best. bike. ever. The end." Fun fact - before I got the Streety, I used to test-ride lots of bikes, just to keep up to date with the market situation. Ever since I got her, I didn't test a single other one. I just don't see the point anymore. ;)

i'm a proud owner of a 2017 RS and i have to say the power down below is fine enough. I dont know if the RS has slightly different tuning, but mine effortlessly wheelies from low down, with no clutchups

Unfortunately it’s been impossible to find the R version in the pre owner market here in India. Plenty of S and RS but for some reason not the R, which is the variant I want (mostly cause I want the silver grey one). Fingers crossed I find one soon so I can pull the trigger.
