We review the new 2021 Triumph Trident 660 motorcycle.
Is it good or bad?
Are you confused about what it's like?
We give the final verdict!
We look at the engine, power, torque, gears, exhaust sound, handling, suspension, rake & trail, wheelbase, fuel economy, acceleration, braking, styling seating and riding position and more!
How is it for taller riders above 6 foot?
How is it for shorter riders?
A2 Licence 'kit' available!
Is it too fast or too tame?
We test it on the real British roads (rubbish ones!).
In this video the Ol' Man is wearing the Bell 2020 Street Qualifier DLX MIPS Helmet in Breadwinner Black & White www.bellhelmet...
And Goldtop Leather Gloves www.goldtop.co...

The kind of people that think that this motorcycle isn’t fast enough, are the sort of people that shouldn’t be on public roads, and riding motorcycles. Beautiful Triumph, and great review...👌🇨🇦✌️😎

Great grass roots review....A lot of other reviews I watch don't mention soul and character (Kudos Ol' Man). I say that as I have previously owned an MT07 which has bags of character, reviewer's neglect to point this out in there reviews. I live in Thailand, as you know Triumph's are made in Thailand and they are very popular in the Asian market (shorter rider's and Triumph brand). I am tempted........Cheers

new rider here, just a few months of experience but love the trident. i find myself out on it and not wanting to end the ride. it's confidence inspiring and i'm finding that as my skill levels go up that it gets more and more rewarding to ride. the quick shifter is great at times and clunky at others but maybe that's just because i haven't quite got it figured-out yet. however i've read on forums where this is common. i'm 6' tall and it feels very comfortable. do i look too tall for it? i don't care.

My only problem with this bike is that I might not be able to fit my 56 litre Givi rack and Topbox with that subframe. I find this lockable top box indispensable for storing my helmet and shopping. It has been a permanent fixture on the back of my current bike since the day I bought it. Backpacks really don't cut it as I hate lugging a helmet around shopping centres. The Trident is a very impressive, sensible all round bike with very good performance at a reasonable price point. Ownership costs add to its attraction.

Let's see if they pick a few things from predecessors. 1. Cheap-looking foot brake lever - according to Chris from Bike World "is from Chinese scooter" :) and some Germans reviewers on Tenerife pointed it is poor engineering. 2. Rear monoshock, looking poor/cheap as well but some technical guy (don't remember YT channel, he is well respected, they make bike mods) said it will have to be covered because all crap goes straight into it (performs ok most ppl said) 3. Big ugly brake master cylinder "in the front of your vision", been seen apparently on some Kawasaki's from 70's :) 4. Throttle lag - this one is inconclusive, one Japanese guy said it is bad, some journalists said is there but not bothersome, some did not notice at all. One guy from Thailand presented it clearly, lag is there. 5. Radiator, too large. If you drop the bike, it could be easily broken because sticks out (speculation). I haven't seen a single review of the bike with quick shifter, so we don't know how well it works. Not many negatives overall from reviews, the bike looks solid. Engine performance seems to be good. Is it MT 07 killer? No is not. But it fits into the segment quite well.

Hello, looking to buy my first bike next year. I'm 37 years old and never had riding experience. I'm looking at the trident as my 1st choice because everywhere I go I hear people saying it makes a great first bike because not too much power. Problem is I'm 6 foot 2 and 245 pounds... would you still recommend I go with the trident or would buying a 3 or 4 years old street triple be better suited for my size? I'm not a crazy guy looking to go 100 miles an hour on city streets and I won't be doing track days... I just want a bike I can grow into and have fun going to work and taking my wife out on the weekend for a ride. Open to comments and suggestions but triumph is a brand that looks amazing and the sound of the triple to me... nothing beats that! Thank you

A Bonneville 9-1200 would be a better choice. The 1200 would be a great 1st bike for your height & weight. The 900 would work, but after awhile you ‘ll wish you had bought the 1200. The 1200 Will be way better for two up on your bike with your wife as well. Whichever bike you choose, make sure you’re very very comfortable on it before you put your wife on it with you. Very important to be comfortable with some miles under your belt for sure! 8-10,000 miles atleast. Good luck & have fun. Check out Motojitsu’s channel on here. Greg’s channel is great! 👍🏼🎃
